Dan Da is a Vietnamese restaurant at 9945 E Colfax Ave in Aurora, Colorado, offering a chance to explore Vietnamese dishes beyond the familiar favorites. Diners describe a menu with traditional options that are not found at every Vietnamese restaurant, alongside distinctive dishes and sauces. With a 4.8 rating from 372 reviews, Dan Da has drawn many people looking for a thoughtful, flavor-focused Vietnamese meal in Aurora. It may suit curious first-time visitors as well as diners who already know the cuisine and want to try something new.

One standout experience is the build-your-own shrimp spring roll appetizer. It brings vegetables and other accompaniments together so diners can wrap their own rolls, and guests have praised the toasted peanuts served with the shrimp and the specialty sauces paired with different dishes. An appetizer tower has also been described as an original way to assemble spring rolls with a selection of ingredients. These interactive options make the meal feel hands-on and are a good fit for people who enjoy sharing food and choosing their own combinations.

For a main course, customer reviews mention bún chả as a highlight, as well as clams that one diner found exceptional. Shaken beef is another dish guests have tried, though one review noted that it was somewhat dry on that visit. The restaurant’s range of less-common traditional choices can make it a useful place to branch out from a usual order, while the varied sauces let diners discover different flavors alongside their meal. Vietnamese coffee has also stood out to at least one guest, making it worth considering if you want to round out a meal with a drink.

The dining room can get busy: one customer described a packed space where nearby conversations were easy to hear. That lively, close-set atmosphere may be worth keeping in mind if you prefer a quieter meal. Reviews also mention that the online menu did not match the menu available during one visit, so particular dishes may not always be offered as expected. Checking what is currently available before making a special trip may help set expectations. Customer impressions of pricing and individual dishes vary, so the best fit may be diners who value variety and distinctive Vietnamese options.

Dan Da is open Wednesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; it is closed Monday and Tuesday. Its Colfax Avenue location makes it an option for lunch during the week or a longer weekend visit in Aurora. Whether you are trying Vietnamese food for the first time, seeking a hands-on spring roll appetizer, or exploring regional and traditional dishes beyond your regular order, Dan Da offers a menu with several ways to make the meal your own.

Dan Da is one of my favorite places when I want to explore beyond the Vietnamese dishes I usually order. The menu has a lot of traditional options that you don’t find at every Vietnamese restaurant, and everything we’ve tried has been thoughtfully prepared. This visit, the highlights were the Bún Chả Hà Nội, coconut curry claypot with shrimp, shaken beef tenderloin, and the shrimp and crab mini rolls. The Bún Chả Hà Nội was especially memorable and fun to eat since you build each bite yourself. If you’re dining with a group, I’d definitely recommend ordering a few dishes to share. It’s the best way to experience everything Dan Da has to offer.

I loved everything I ordered at Dân Dã. The build your own shrimp spring rolls were super fun and delicious. The toasted peanuts cooked on the shrimp was fantastic. I wrapped the rest of what was on my plate to take home. The speciality sauces that came with each dish were great! I ordered the red/green Thai tea and it was yummy. For my main I ordered the whole fried red snapper. It was HUGE but perfectly fried, beautifully presented, and was accompanied by a ginger sauce that was out of this world. I'm so glad I took myself on a little date here. 15/10 will come again.

We stopped by Dan Da today. The Vietnamese food had some unique dishes. The clams were exceptional. The shaken beef was ok - a bit on the dry side. The appetizer tower was original where you can make your own spring rolls with an assortment of vegetables, meats, egg rolls wrapped in Rice paper. Overall we enjoyed the meal and will try other dishes next time.

Okay place. Menu online wasn't in alignment with what we received so that kind of threw us off as what we had intended to order was not available. Food was still good. Vietnamese Coffee was the star. Packed dining area and you can hear everyone's conversion next to you. Plate price was a little high for us all things considered but not outrageous.
