Dang Dude is an Asian restaurant at 615 Channelside Dr in Tampa, FL 33602, serving guests looking for dumplings, bao, noodles, rice bowls, and other flavorful dishes. Its location makes it a convenient option for a meal in the Channelside area, whether you are stopping in during the day or looking for dinner. Dang Dude is open daily from 11 a.m.; closing time is 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The restaurant has a 4.3-star rating from 224 reviews, giving diners a useful snapshot of a place that has earned plenty of local feedback.
Dumplings and bao are among the most frequently praised choices. Guests describe the steamed pork dumplings as delicious and say they would order them again; other diners call the dumplings amazing. Bao also draws attention, including a special Cuban-inspired bao reported by a customer: mojo-braised pork, salami, Swiss cheese, mayo, mustard sauce, house-made garlic dill pickles, and crispy bao buns. That combination stood out for its savory, tangy flavors and was described as one of the customer’s favorite Cuban-style sandwiches in Tampa. Specials may vary, so check with the restaurant for current offerings.
Other dishes mentioned by guests include fried wings with garlic satay sauce, yaki udon, beef bulgogi, and a mango-and-peach popping boba tea. Reviews praise the fresh-tasting food, careful seasoning, and helpful employees. One diner especially enjoyed the yaki udon, while noting that the fried shallots were prominent and the overall flavor might not suit every preference. That kind of detail can help you choose: ask about sauces on the side if you prefer to adjust the seasoning, and consider trying a few shareable items if you want to sample different flavors.
Feedback on portions and prices is mixed. One customer felt that four garlic-satay wings were expensive and found the rice-bowl portion too small, while other reviews focus on satisfying dumplings, bao, and noodles. If value or portion size is important to your decision, it may be worth checking the menu and prices before ordering. The range of options makes Dang Dude a possibility for diners who enjoy Asian-inspired comfort food, want dumplings or bao, or are curious about a distinctive special. Friendly service is another positive noted by guests, though individual experiences and tastes can differ.
For a first visit, the pork dumplings or bao offer a well-reviewed starting point, while the wings, udon, and popping boba tea provide other ways to explore the menu. Dang Dude serves lunch and dinner every day at its Channelside Drive address, with later hours on Friday and Saturday for an evening meal. Its customer feedback is specific about both favorite dishes and areas where expectations may vary, making it easier to decide what to try. Check current hours and menu details before you go, especially if you are visiting for a particular special or planning a late dinner.

Love the fried wings with garlic satay sauce...but its too pricey.. for 4pcs.. -$7? ! i wont recommend the rice bowl also, the portion is too small either.
Dang dude truly lives up to its name! Came on 813 day to try their Cuban bao bun special. House made mojo braised pork, salami, Swiss cheese, mayo and mustard sauce, house made garlic dill pickles, and crispy bao buns. It honestly was one of best tasting "cubans" ive had in Tampa. The mojo pork was next level flavor, salami added a little spice flavor, the housemate garlic dill pickles fresh and crunchy, sauce paired well. 10/10. Should be added to menu. Washed it down with mango fruit tea. 8.5/10. Definitely will come back to try more.
Friendly and helpful employees. The food e as fresh and tasty. The dumplings were amazing. Everything was seasoned and cooked well.
Stopped here overnight to catch a flight decided to head to sparkmans wharf for a bite and I got the steamed pork dumplings. I absolutely love them and would order again. Also snagged a delicious and very sweet mango and peach popping boba tea
The dumplings and baos were amazing. Next time I will try the beef bulgolgi. The yaki udon noodles were awesome, but there was flavor lacking in the whole dish, or maybe I just didn’t care for the fried shallots, which overwhelmed it. On two orders we asked for the garlic pepper sauce on the side, and that did not happen! The bubble tea was awesome. Take out and sit by the water in the public area. So awesome.
