I was really looking forward to having a good experience here because as of the time of writing this review and trying their food, they have 4.6 stars and I found the reviews to be pretty good. I was very disappointed on multiple fronts. The biggest thing is the food just did not hit the mark. The presentation was fine, it looked good, but it lacked that overall flavor that you’re looking for and Asian food. We ordered the wings which the sauce was very good but the skin was rather soft. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and my goodness did it lack flavor! I will say that the ingredients may have been fresh however it was not seasoned well at all!. And then the mango sticky rice version that they provided… Extremely lacking! The ice cream that they put on top helped a little bit however it is not the traditional mango sticky rice that one would expect. The rice itself was bland, the mango were frozen cube that did not make for a pleasant eating experience and was just overall lacking. I’m giving two stars because I felt like the ingredients were fresh, but you buy food also for it to be flavorful. And all that for a price that was much too high! Update: Thank you for your response to my review. Regarding the chicken, so what I am understanding is that the wings are twice cooked? And yet it was still soft rather than a firm cook throughout… I wonder if frying a frozen chicken limits how crunchy it will be in the end 🤷🏼♀️ As for the pineapple fried rice, I didn’t say it lacked spice, I stated it lacked flavor, as in salt and even chicken flavor. Now if guests are expected to request your varying level of “spice” to get varying degrees of flavor…. That’s confusing. The mango in the sticky rice dish was frozen bits. Unless it’s in a smoothie or a frozen dish, it’s not pleasant to bite into. Maybe allow it to thaw before serving. That may maintain the consistency that you speak of while allowing guests to comfortably eat it along with the warm mango sticky rice.
I tried this place out last week and I must say the food is great. At least what I ordered. I had the coconut mojito, Pad Thai, Spring rolls, and another noodle dish, the name I do not remember. Looking forward to returning to try more items on the menu. The atmosphere was a nice vibe and our server/bartender was really nice. The parking lot is small, but was able to find street parking. I'm sure on a busy day or not, parking may be a little harder, but overall I had a good experience.
Thanks Ana our waitress she was so sweet, very nice and attentive. Food was good and so was the drinks we didn’t like the first drink we got but they let us switch it out which was nice. Drunken noodles, firecracker roll, the Godfather roll …
The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious. While it may look small from the outside, the interior is surprisingly spacious and can comfortably accommodate groups. They also offer outdoor seating, which is perfect if you want to …
DeJai Noodle Bar really came through for my sushi craving and I’m so glad I gave it a try! I came in with high hopes based on the ratings and honestly it lived up to them. I started with the yellowtail jalapeño and was pleasantly surprised - the sashimi was thicker than I’m used to but in the best way. It was fresh, high quality, and the sauce they put on it was absolutely delicious. I could have eaten that all night. I also got the tuna wontons, which were good, though personally I think they’d be even better with just cream cheese - but that’s just my preference. And then the OMG roll, which I got with masago instead of crab since I don’t eat shellfish, was really really good. Everything came out nicely presented and the flavors were on point. This is definitely a spot I’ll be returning to whenever the sushi craving hits!
