I recently took my daughter to a pastry shop that had received a lot of hype on social media, and I wanted to share our experience. While the presentation was immaculate, we found the pricing steep—$89 for eight small pastries, each weighing less than 5 oz. The location was clean but not in a prominent area. Customer service was okay, although there was a language barrier; the gentleman assisting us spoke Spanish while we speak English. We decided to give it a shot despite this. Given the 98°F weather, we were eager to try the pastries as soon as we got to the car, fearing they would melt quickly. Unfortunately, our excitement turned to disappointment after the first bite. Despite reading numerous reviews, including several negative ones, we wanted to try it for ourselves due to the positive feedback. Regrettably, our experience was not favorable. The pastries lacked the expected flavor—one with banana tasted like paper, with a texture reminiscent of squished bananas and paper mache. For $89, we expected much better quality. We ultimately found similar items at a Mediterranean store later that day for a lower price and larger portions. My advice to anyone reading this is to carefully consider reviews before visiting.

If you’re looking for the “viral mousse dessert with a white chocolate shell” experience, this unfortunately was not it for me. ( if you want that "crunch" factor for the camera then yes this place has it) The desserts from this shop tasted like they had been frozen and then defrosted. They didn’t have the flavor or texture of a traditional mousse the texture was VERYY gelatin heavy, and the overall flavor felt lacking. The desserts also lacked any real fresh fruit flavor, and the shell tasted more like plain cocoa butter than a balanced chocolate coating. Every dessert I tried followed a similar structure: cocoa butter shell → gelatin heavy mousse → grocery-store-style jam → a VERY thin cake layer (if any) → a soft Oreo-esque cookie base. That being said, definitely try them if you’re curious! If you enjoy them, that’s great everyone’s taste is different, and I’m happy if you’re happy. However, if you’re expecting a high quality pastry experience, I’d recommend going in with lower expectations.
