Dental Walk-In Clinic of Tampa Bay is a dentist in Tampa, Florida, at 4240 W Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, FL 33609. Its walk-in clinic name and extended daily hours may be useful to people looking for dental care outside a conventional weekday schedule. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you are planning a visit, contact the clinic directly to confirm availability, pricing, and what care can be provided for your needs. The hours listed here are helpful for planning, but do not by themselves guarantee that a particular appointment or treatment will be available when you arrive.

Customer experiences describe both routine communication and visits for specific dental concerns. One reviewer came in to have a crown placed back before an important trip and appreciated that Dr. Slaybaugh explained the risks and set expectations about the result. Another reviewer described a crown re-cementing visit. These accounts suggest that patients may come to the Tampa clinic with an immediate concern as well as a need to understand the options. They are examples from individual visits, not a complete list of services, so it is best to ask the team whether the clinic can address your particular issue and what the expected costs are before proceeding.

Several reviewers call out the staff’s manner as an important part of the experience. Patients mention polite receptionists, prompt help getting situated, and an assistant named Maria who explained what was happening and what to expect. A patient who described having a longstanding fear of dental visits said Maria and Dr. VanGroesbeck helped make the appointment feel more comfortable; that reviewer also appreciated being able to listen to music during treatment. These personal accounts may be reassuring if you feel nervous about seeing a dentist, although experiences can differ and the clinic cannot be assumed to provide the same experience for everyone.

The clinic has a 4.6-star rating across 1,683 reviews, alongside feedback that is not uniformly positive. Some reviewers praise staff kindness and communication, while others describe long waits, confusion about prices, or dissatisfaction with the visit. One reviewer raised concerns about costs and a refund waiver, so it is sensible to ask for clear, itemized pricing and to understand any payment or refund terms before agreeing to treatment. For Tampa residents and visitors seeking a dentist with early-to-late hours throughout the week, Dental Walk-In Clinic of Tampa Bay is a local option to consider. Check current availability and discuss your concerns directly with the clinic before your visit.

Not going to lie I had a phobia of dentists from an old extraction years ago. Maria and Dr VanGroesbeck were fantastic. Came in with a phobia left feeling like I made friends. No pain (legit) and I got to listen to my metas the whole time

Today I came to the clinic to have my crown placed back because I have a very important trip coming up. Dr. Slaybaugh explained all the risks involved and told me he would do his best to achieve the best possible result. I’m very happy with how everything turned out. I also want to thank Maria, the dental assistant, who was very efficient from the very beginning. She guided me through every step of the process and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. Excellent care and outstanding service. Highly recommend!

Second time coming to DWIC but the first time at their Tampa office. Receptionists were very polite and got me situated promptly. Maria was the assistant who took care of me. She was extremely kind to me throughout my whole visit and was able to explain what was going on and what to expect. Very thorough and professional throughout my visit. Dr. Khan came in to see me after Maria got me all set up. Dr. Khan was very kind and explained what she recommended for treatment and why she recommended it. My favorite thing about this office is how they don't push certain procedures, they don't make you feel guilty about your situation and they really seem like they are more interested in the patients than their wallets. Very reasonable and realistic dentistry. Thank you.

** Cash-paying and disabled: no discount, no compassion.** Refund waiver? RED flag—for me. I had never needed a refund from a doctor’s office before. **$95 exam? One tooth—for me. Don’t let the person on the phone and the person in the back give different prices and confuse you. Nitrous, anesthesia, or “sleepy” medication?**CONSENT FIRST. CHARGE second. Watch the refund terms.DELAYED **Avoid piecemeal pricing:** For me, the $95 exam covered one tooth. If you have more than one tooth, ask about the comprehensive exam first—not $65 X-rays per tooth. ((Read the malpractice arbitration agreement fully.))Compare website prices with your final quote. Don’t feel pressured. When in pain it’s hard to refuse. Make sure the practice doesn’t take advantage of that. Billing and business practices not dental care. That’s why the 2 star . I’m upset not indistinguished.

2 stars for the 2 minutes it took the dentist to re-cement the single crown I went in for after being there for over 3 hours. I had a 10:30am appointment that I made days ago. Got there 15 minutes early and was greeted by a very nice and pleasant receptionist. That is where the pleasantry began and ended. I sat in a very full waiting room for an hour and half before being called back for my APPOINTMENT. I was not a walk in. I did not require any drilling, filing, or extraction. I literally just needed a crown glued back on a healthy tooth. I was charged $235 dollars for a single tooth that required absolutely ZERO WORK. In total I was in that office for OVER THREE HOURS FOR GLUE. Granted it was the day before a holiday however they advertise themselves as an emergency/walk in dental office, so it really shouldn’t have mattered. If anything should have been all the more reason to have proper staffing. There was only one dentist working and I quickly realized this was a money hungry dental office who was willing to overbook and inconvenience others. After waiting 3 hours, she took all of but 2 minutes to put tooth cement on my crown (actually she had an inexperienced dental assistant do so) and then shoved it up on my tooth and sent me on my way—this is not an exaggeration. 3 hours with an appointment for all of 2 minutes of work that required zero skill or artistry, just product (the cement). They probably would have charged me for a panoramic x-ray which is significantly more money than the bs 95 I had to pay for an xray of one tooth— that is had their machine not been broken. Remember, I was there for for one and one tooth only that required zero work. My crown was in perfect shape and I had great retention (dentist even said so herself). I suppose that is the only place I got lucky in this chop shop. I would never ever 1. Go here Again 2. Especially if I actually was in pain with a dental emergency (which I was not, but I know others in the waiting area were) 3. Recommend anyone to go here. I sat for hours and listened as the dental staff commented on how backed up they were yet they continued to take patients, their time, and money. Absolute shame and sham. Unless you have an entire day to kill plus money just to sit around, go somewhere else.
