Di Anh Cafe is a Vietnamese cafe at 1954 S 23rd St in Philadelphia, PA 19145. It offers a neighborhood setting for people looking to explore Vietnamese dishes and treats, including specialties that can be harder to find elsewhere. Customer reviews describe a small, cozy corner spot with a warm welcome from the owners, making it a comfortable choice for a relaxed meal rather than a rushed stop. The cafe has a 4.3-star rating from 15 reviews, reflecting a range of experiences and opinions from local diners.

One standout mentioned by customers is bánh xèo, the Vietnamese stuffed crepe. Reviewers praise its crisp exterior and describe a filling with bean sprouts, shrimp, and pork. For diners drawn to contrasting textures, this dish offers a satisfying combination of crunch and savory ingredients. Bánh lá, a rice dumpling wrapped in banana leaf, is another less familiar Vietnamese treat called out by visitors. Reviews also mention tasty dumplings and spring rolls, giving guests a few options to explore beyond a single signature dish.

The menu includes several other traditional snacks and dumplings. Bánh nậm received a positive mention for its seasoning, though one reviewer noted that the shrimp was finely prepared and did not provide much texture. Opinions on bánh bao and bánh bột lọc were less favorable in one review, a useful reminder that tastes differ from person to person. Taken together, the feedback points to a menu with distinctive Vietnamese specialties and a few dishes that guests may want to choose according to their own preferences. The available reviews do not establish a complete menu, so visitors looking for a particular item may wish to confirm its availability when ordering.

Di Anh Cafe may suit diners who enjoy discovering regional Vietnamese comfort foods, sharing dumplings or spring rolls, or choosing a relaxed neighborhood cafe for an unhurried meal. Reviewers mention a welcoming atmosphere and flavors that reminded them of food in Vietnam, while other feedback is more mixed about specific dishes. That variety makes the customer comments helpful as a guide, not a guarantee that every item will suit every palate. Whether you are already familiar with bánh xèo and bánh lá or trying them for the first time, the reviews suggest a small local place centered on Vietnamese flavors and personal hospitality.

The cafe is open Monday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is closed on Sunday. Its South Philadelphia address is 1954 S 23rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19145. Check the hours before visiting, especially if you are planning around a specific dish, and allow time to enjoy the cozy setting described by customers. For anyone searching for a Vietnamese cafe in Philadelphia with bánh xèo, bánh lá, dumplings, and spring rolls among the dishes mentioned by guests, Di Anh Cafe is a local option worth considering.

Such a cute new Vietnamese café that just opened a few months ago! It’s a small, family-owned spot and you can really feel the warmth as soon as you walk in. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. It’s a cozy little corner place, perfect for a relaxed meal. My absolute favorite was the sautéed baby clams with rice crackers. The crackers were super crispy and paired so well with the flavorful baby clams.. seriously so good. Everything we ordered was tasty and fresh. They also offer catering, and the prices are very reasonable. Love supporting small businesses like this. Definitely coming back!

I don't recommend ordering bánh bèo and bánh bột lọc here. Bánh bèo has a strong flour taste, which I do not like. Bánh bột lọc is not tasty. Bánh nậm on the other hand is pretty good. Although the shrimp is too fine you don't really feel the texture, the seasoning is pretty good.
