DIAMOND NAILS

Edit 6/14/26 I REALLY hate leaving a negative review on a place, but I feel the need to fix my review after leaving a 5-star one right before check out (they offer free cuticle oil if you leave a review, which is smart, honestly). The whole manicure felt a little rushed, the nail tech helping me didn't really ask what I wanted. I had to stop her as she was about to do a white french tip to explain what I wanted. That may have been a miscommunication somewhere that was my fault. My nails were filed very quickly during prep without much caution which has resulted in several rings of fire on my nails. The longer I got to look at my nails the more I noticed many small mistakes like uneven nail shapes, messy french tips, black gel in the middle of my nail, gel polish on my skin. Their tools were taken out of their kits & promptly thrown back in, not sterilized. Both nail charms fell off or broke within a couple days, and they did replace them free of charge, but when they were glued on, neither top coat was applied or the residue wiped off. So lint immediately started clinging to those nails. I wiped them off with alcohol at home, but because there was no top coat, the glue started to flake and peel off over the next couple days. I can totally understand wanting to just get a job done, but when I'm paying around $100 for nails I just wish there was a little more care put into them. I also am a little concerned for client health & safety. I really want to assume the best of this salon given how many people are return customers, and how friendly the people who work there are. Don't let this sway you from seeing them, I just want them to be aware so they can rectify this for future clients and continue to succeed.

There are several reasons they’re “tops” for me in Austin - for one, they have the most extensive collection of real polish (OPI preferred!) in an array of rainbow colors for natural nails. That range extends to shellac, dip, and SNS, so those natural nails I haven’t yet been blessed with can look long and pointy, polished and perfected. Livia is the most incredible artist I’ve found to reproduce images with meticulous detail, and Sue was gentle, professional and kind with expert shaping. A standard go-to for appointments and walk-ins!

Great experience and great customer service. Today i had Trieu for the first time being in the salon, she was knowledgeable and was very educating to me with the questions i had for the type of service i was doing for the first time. Highly recommend! Thanks :)

As always this place knows their stuff. Lena is my favorite and very good at nails. Edit: I have been back three times since this post. And each time has been some sort of problem. Once resulting in me, returning to the salon for an hour and a half to get my nails redone as they were all lifting. But I think the worst part is everyone seems very burned out with their job. No one seems to be having a good time and the atmosphere is kind of depressing. I think nails is self-care and should be fun. And when I go there, I feel very unwelcome. I will not be returning there. I have found a new place that is absolutely accommodating and fun and amazing.

I’m so appreciate of Diamond Nails. They went above and beyond to make things right for me after a not-so great experience that I left pretty upset about. I hate having to complain, and they were so kind about it. There was no debate. When I came back, I left with an amazing set and a pleasant experience. The workers were so attentive to making sure things went well. This is still my go to salon!!💕
