Dragon Day Spa is a neighborhood spa serving San Jose, CA, from 1820 Hillsdale Ave Unit 10 in the 95124 area. For people looking for massage near Hillsdale Avenue, the business offers a convenient local setting for taking time out of a busy day. It is open every day, Monday through Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM, which can suit daytime appointments as well as after-work or weekend relaxation.
Full-body massage is the core service most clearly reflected in customer feedback. Reviews mention 60-minute and one-hour full-body massage visits, with guests describing a chance to unwind and get attention in areas carrying everyday tension, particularly the upper back and neck. One repeat guest said the therapists seemed attentive to tight or knotted spots without being asked. These details make Dragon Day Spa relevant to San Jose visitors seeking a straightforward massage focused on relaxation and body comfort.
Individual therapists receive several specific mentions. A guest called Lucy a great therapist after a 60-minute massage, while another praised Lisa for checking on massage pressure during the session. That kind of pressure check can be meaningful for guests who prefer lighter touch, firmer work, or simply want to communicate what feels comfortable. Some customers say they have returned alone or with family over more than one visit, and another reports going a couple of times each month. Experiences differ, but those repeat visits suggest that the massage itself has been a reason for some local customers to come back.
Feedback also provides useful context for planning a visit. Dragon Day Spa has a 3.9 rating from 105 reviews, and comments are mixed. Alongside positive remarks about massage quality and clean sheets on a massage bed, some reviewers have raised concerns about strong odors, a dark or older-looking interior, cleanliness, and a disappointing interaction related to tipping. These are customer-reported experiences rather than guarantees of current conditions, but they are worth considering. Guests who have questions about the setting, requested pressure, service details, or payment expectations may wish to discuss them directly before their appointment.
Located in San Jose, Dragon Day Spa may suit adults who want an accessible, massage-centered stop rather than a highly polished destination-spa atmosphere. It can be a practical choice for a solo reset, a regularly scheduled full-body massage, or a visit with a family member, based on past customer accounts. With daily evening hours and therapists noted for addressing neck and upper-back tension, the spa offers a local option to consider when choosing a massage in San Jose, California. For the most comfortable experience, communicate preferences clearly and confirm any details that matter to you.

Sign in to reviewI took 60-min full body massage and Lucy is a great therapist. However, the whole spa strongly smelled of a dirty uncleaned bathroom (very strong pee smell not cleaned for a long time) — I let them know as soon as I entered the spa, but they just shrugged their shoulders and said something in Chinese! I’ve been to countless spas in my life in US and outside US, but never been to a spa that smells like pee! What a waste to have great therapists in such an unhygienic ambience, not going back there again. All my 60-minutes in there, I tried ignoring the horrible smell and focus on the massage, but unfortunately it didn’t work. I hope the owner realizes that when we take the time (and spend money) to come and get some relaxing time at a spa, the most basic non-fancy experience calls for a hygiene and peaceful environment, to begin with.
Massage was pretty good. And I have gone there by myself and with my son a few times over the past 2 years. But rhis time, when the tip was given, I was very disappointed. My 17 years old son is a student athlete, and he has a job for the summer. He got his first full paycheck and planned to surprise me with the massage. So he got the combo massage, which is what I usually get. He paid cash upfront for the service. When we were leaving, I said I could pay for the tip, but he said no because it was my surprise. He handed the lady 10 dollars from his wallet. She took the money, counted it, and said, "Is this for 2 people? My son said that is all the cash in my wallet. She replied, "Next time you need to spend more." The thing is, I was going to give them more tips, but I was so disappointed by her attitude towards my kid that we just left. I did not even say anything to this lady because I did not want to ruin this special surprise. Although he seemed bothered by their comment, he said he was happy he could treat me now that he makes his own money. Sad because we probably never come back to this place.
Lisa is great and check with you about pressure etc. got some relaxation after the massage
I go here a couple of times a month. 30 year old female. This place is absolutely amazing. I pay $63 for an hour long full body massage. I never ask them to, but it seems like they can feel the tight/knotted spots in my upper back and neck and spend an extra amount of time in those areas. They still Include hot stones, head, face, legs and feet and it feels very thorough everytime. Never feels rushed, but they get everything everytime and I feel so good when I leave. Will be a regular as long as they're here. I will add though last time I went (and the only time this happened) I asked to pay a $10 tip and the lady insisted over 3 times i meant $20. That turned me off a bit.
Went there for 1 hr full body massage. Cigarette smoke smell is pretty strong and the place looks kinda dark, so not sure how clean. The decor is not good. The sheets on massage bed were clean. Apparently this location for them is new but somehow looks really old, and not in a good way either. Bathroom is so so. There was no communication with me about the message, and it was very lightly done. I haven’t had a massage before so didn’t know you can ask for it to be done for what you actually need. Prices are apparently not what the website says - you’re going to get charged more and they absolutely expect tips. It was my birthday and I asked my mom for a massage as another gift just a couple hours prior so I think this was all she could find with short notice.
