09/17/2023: Solid shop to get fresh cha aka Vietnamese pork sausage/ham. My family really enjoy the cha. I believe this shop is connected to the one in the Dallas/Garland area. FYI it’s a cash only place.

Duc Huong Gio Cha is my go-to spot for fresh and delicious Vietnamese hams. They offer a fantastic variety, and every time I’m in town, I make sure to pick some up as gifts for friends and family. The quality is consistently excellent, with hot and fresh hams available every morning. If you’re planning to buy in bulk, make sure to come early—by the evening, they often sell out! The freshness and flavor make it well worth the trip. However, keep in mind that the store is very small, and there’s often a long line with limited space to wait. Also, they only accept cash, so be prepared. Despite these minor inconveniences, the amazing quality of their hams keeps me coming back every time!

Đức Hương Giò Chả 7/7/25: The is a Vietnamese speciality shop that specializes in traditional pork nem chua, chả ốc (pork sausage with eacargot), chả lụa (pork sausage), several chè (dessert), etc. My favorites: 1. Nem chua - I have tasted many versions of nem chua in many states, from deli to homemade, made with beef and pork, but this place is my favorite place that makes nem chua. 2. Chả Ốc - The escargot pork sausage here has a pleasant herbal fragrant of lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves, hint with a spicy kick of black peppercorn. I can taste the bits of escargot in every bite. 3. Chè khoai môn is a dessert made with sweet glutinous rice, coconut milk, and taro.

The price keeps going higher $3.5 for a small ham. Their “ cha oc” doesnt keep up with its reputation, disappointing to see they lie with their products, wrapping in many layers but the filing is small
