I visited this store with my wife shortly after our wedding to purchase my first Buddha necklace. This is her culture and faith, and she knows the traditions and preferences well. I am the one who is learning. I came in with genuine respect, hoping to thoughtfully participate as I begin attending temple with her family. When I mistakenly referred to a piece as silver, I was sharply told that the store does not sell silver and that if I wanted silver, this was not the place for me. I apologized immediately, as my comment simply came from inexperience. There were also remarks made about my appearance, seemingly under the assumption my wife did not speak the language and would not understand, which made the interaction uncomfortable. I won’t speculate about intent. I will say that walking into a space to honor your spouse’s culture and being met with dismissal instead of guidance is disheartening. What should have been a meaningful first purchase did not feel welcoming. I respect the significance of the jewelry sold here. I simply hope that future customers, especially those sincerely trying to learn, are met with patience and professionalism.

My family has trusted this jeweler for over 40 years, but after our most recent experience, we will never return. When my mom went in to exchange some items, the owner accused her of buying them elsewhere and treated her with such rudeness and disrespect. It was heartbreaking to see my mom, a loyal customer of decades, leave in tears. It’s truly disappointing to be treated this way after so many years of loyalty. I do not recommend this establishment.
