European Auto Centre

European Auto Centre is an auto repair shop at 2205 SW 6th Ave in Portland, Oregon. The shop is known in customer feedback for careful vehicle assessment, clear communication, and repair work that earns repeat visits. Its 4.9-star rating across 49 reviews reflects the experiences shared by local customers, including people who came in with unexpected vehicle trouble and drivers looking for a dependable place to return to. For someone new to Portland or simply seeking a repair shop that takes time to explain the situation, those details may be useful when deciding where to call.

European vehicles are a particular area of experience. Reviewers mention bringing in a 1999 Mercedes and feeling comfortable with the shop’s knowledge of European cars, including jobs complicated by rust. The feedback also describes work on a Buick after it broke down nearby following a long drive. Together, these examples suggest that European Auto Centre works with different vehicle makes while being especially familiar with European models. The shop’s approach, as customers describe it, begins with assessing the problem carefully rather than rushing past the details.

Communication is one of the most consistent themes in reviews. Customers say Jarret is kind, reliable, and timely, and that he explains what is wrong, what work is planned, and what costs to expect. One reviewer appreciated that the repair was completed quickly after dropping off a car just before the holidays; another noted that the shop communicated with insurance on their behalf. These are customer-reported experiences, not a promise that every repair will follow the same timeline, but they offer a practical picture of the service people have valued.

Reviewers also describe the work as thorough and the prices as reasonable, with one customer specifically noting there were no surprise charges at payment. That combination can matter when a repair is stressful or arrives unexpectedly: knowing what has been found, what is proposed, and what the likely cost will be makes it easier to make an informed decision. Customers have praised the shop’s honesty and flexibility, and several comments describe European Auto Centre as a place they would return to or recommend to others.

The shop is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and closed Saturday and Sunday. Its address is 2205 SW 6th Ave, Portland, OR 97201. Drivers in Portland looking for help assessing a vehicle issue, repairing a European car, or getting straightforward updates may find the customer feedback especially relevant. A careful assessment and clear conversation are recurring parts of the experience reviewers describe. Calling during business hours is a sensible way to discuss a vehicle’s needs and confirm what the shop can take on.
