On vacation and wasn’t able to get my pedicure before leaving out of town. Found this place. It’s Thursday 4:30PM, was able to walk in as they had only one other client. I was greeted quickly, and advised to pick out my color. I opted for a gel pedicure. Rose Mary was my technician. The shop is beautiful. Soft music in the background R&B for the genre. The massage chairs are nice with many options. You can set the chair for 10, 20 or 30 minutes. I sat down waiting for the price list or packages but that’s not happened yet. So, as I write this I have no idea what this will cost. The tub was just water too, no bubbles or essential oils added. They did add a liner to the unit. Water temperature was perfect. No conversation took place other than her asking me if I just got off of work and I said I didn’t live here. Correction she started talking to me. Cuticles pushed back then took a drill to file the cuticle back and buff the nail bed out. Still have no idea how much this is going to cost. Just was offered wine. No idea if it’s complimentary or with a cost. She didn’t say anything so not sure. You have a choice from white or red. She has applied the callous remover gel but apparently they don’t use the tool that looks like a cheese grater here and she is putting her everything into sanding with the block. I prefer the cheese grater tool I find it quite satisfying. I do like the foot extension when she is sanding my heels, but when my foot is flat the angle she wanted it is uncomfortable for me. I tried to move the chair up to see if that would help. She’s sighing over my heels but I’m like in my head “cheese grater would be quicker” lol Not her asking me when I had my last pedicure because they ain’t using the best tools. lol So, that’s done now she is applying massage oil. The calf massage is probably the best I have had, at other salons most Asian owned this part is typically quick and glossed over. I’m from Maryland so this might be my very first time getting a pedicure at a minority owned business. I’m always willing to support my people. She’s still massaging my right foot. This is definitely her favorite part of the pedicure for sure. So, she just noticed that the cuticle liquid applied to my foot burned the top of my foot. She knew because she didn’t see it when we started. I think how long it stayed on mixed with friction from the gloves. She felt bad, but I’m not tripping over it. The massage is helping me not worry about it. Just next time have to be careful with getting that product on the gloves further exposing other areas. The massage is over now. So, no hot wax package, no salt scrub package I guess? I’ll have to look at the website for package offerings to see if they exist and I wasn’t offered one? She’s extremely careful with nail painting often using angled Q-tips to fix it up. Appreciate that! Pedicure was an hour give or take. Overall Review: 1. Yes, I would return but would look at other places around the same cost but with packages. 2. I loved my nail artist and her attention to detail. 3. They need to provide you with a price list and packages when you sit down Now, you’re wondering how much was this pedicure? $1.99 service fee (unknown maybe credit card processing?) $65.00 for the Eva Luxe Pedicure If a discount was offered for the chemical burn, four stars would have been awarded.
I got to experience two nail techs: one did my refill and the other the paint! They turned out beautiful. No complaints on the nails! …
Discovered Eva Nail Salon one evening after leaving the Eliza Jane, my friend and I were drawn in by its cute vibe and met Jazzy outside, who was incredibly sweet. That first visit was mixed: my pedicure was flawless, but the nail work fell short. I decided to give it another try months later and was thrilled to see Jazzy back behind the counter because she’d left for a while. Unfortunately, the tech I was paired w| didn’t seem confident with gel-x, questioned my choice repeatedly, and left me with uneven nails. One even popped off within three days, the attempted fix was mismatched and messy. The prices are also higher, I’m assuming since it’s located in the CBD; however, the work does not reflect the service price. I adore Jazzy, but the techs clearly need more training. Sadly, I won’t be returning. Pictures are from when this salon just opened.
