Over the years, I've had insurance for many homes and vehicles, always confident that I had the best coverage at the lowest cost. I’ve done my research and thus I've often declined requests for reviews, feeling sure I was already in good hands. But when Kari suggested that we should speak with Tony, and take a closer look, I reluctantly agreed—and I am so glad I did! Imagine my surprise when Tony not only increased our coverage but did so at a much lower cost! He went above and beyond, uncovering a false homeowners claim on our record and finding out that our good driving history hadn't transferred when we moved. He guided us through the process of correcting these issues, and we ended up in a far better situation than I ever expected. It's been a month that I've settled in US and I'm yet to get a CA license. So I have been looking for an auto insurance which was not that expensive and yet covered me on my foreign license. I got Geico covered but it was expensive - little over $1000 for 6 months. So when Tony approached me with a less expensive insurance with similar coverage as Geico, I readily agreed to switch to Farmers auto and home insurance together. Unfortunately I had a hard time after switching to Farmers from Geico. Most of the times Tony is not reachable and his co-employees Gaby and Dana handled my queries. The worst part was when my policy got cancelled from the Farmers underwriting team in few weeks citing the reason that I did not have a CA license. On working with Tony's agency I was informed that the company policy got changed 2 days before my insurance was actually written and agents were not informed immediately. The only alternative choice given was to add a CA license holder as primary insured to my account or switch to some other insurance. I rather chose to switch back to Geico and they happily gave me a much better rate this time and activated my insurance on foreign license without any hassle. My experience with Geico has been much better than Farmers. So I wouldn't recommend anyone to switch to Farmers unless you get a very good agent who is well informed.

I am disappointed in how the insurance is handled due to the fact there are many people involved and no one really knows what is going on. You are paying fees that you are not told about until you are charged, the billing is inconsistent and it's hard to get things resolved quickly. Policies are combined when they should be separated, so you as the customer can understand what you are paying for instead of calling them for clarification you are left confused. I caution you to not make any changes to your policies you will be charged another membership fee, which is unnecessary, and you have to stay on top of to make sure your changes are correct. I have only been a customer since June 2021 and things started out good, but since January 2022 it has not been such a good experience, hope to get everything ironed out soon.
