Fiji Pacific Market is an Indian grocery store at 536 W Tennyson Rd in Hayward, CA, serving shoppers looking for groceries and specialty foods connected with Fiji and the wider Pacific. The small market's selection, as described by customers, includes Fijian snacks such as Twisties, Tuckers Fijian Ice Cream, and ingredients that can be harder to spot in a standard supermarket. It is a practical local stop for people stocking a home kitchen, picking up familiar pantry items, or seeking a specific regional product. Its range may be useful for routine shopping as well as a one-item specialty errand. Its 4.2-star rating from 101 reviews gives prospective visitors one useful snapshot alongside detailed feedback from individual shoppers.
Based on customer descriptions, the grocery assortment reaches beyond snacks. Shoppers have noted meat and seafood options including New Zealand sausage, lamb chops, mutton, fish, and mackerel, plus jackfruit and Dalo bhaji. These items make Fiji Pacific Market especially relevant for customers planning Fiji- or South Asian-influenced meals at home, as well as anyone wanting to explore less common ingredients. The market is a grocery destination rather than a dine-in restaurant, so the experience centers on browsing shelves, refrigerated products, and specialty staples to take home. Product variety is one reason a visit may suit ingredient-focused shopping. Availability can change, making it sensible to ask in store when searching for one particular item.
The atmosphere is described as small and straightforward, with a focused neighborhood-market feel. One reviewer noted that parking can be limited, while also reporting that Apple Pay is accepted; visitors arriving by car may want to allow a little extra time. Customer feedback is mixed: some shoppers praised the distinctive Fijian products, while others reported concerns about price labeling, product condition, cleanliness, and service. For the clearest experience, shoppers who have questions about a price or the freshness of a specific product may find it helpful to ask before purchasing. This balanced feedback lets visitors decide whether the selection matches their needs.
Located on W Tennyson Road, Fiji Pacific Market can be a convenient Hayward stop for nearby residents, families preparing regional meals, and curious grocery shoppers seeking Pacific and Indian food products. Regular hours are 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Saturday, with Sunday hours from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Sign in to reviewThe owner is not customer oriented, customer focused, he looks at you like a fool, prices on items are not marked with, each time you have to ask and that annoying to him, prices are too high, the store is not hygienic at all- probably he thinks it’s Fiji style. Went twice, never went back .
I recently visited this store to buy Dalo bhaji. The last time I purchased it, the leaves inside were all bad, with only good leaves wrapped on the outside. This visit, I politely mentioned my previous experience to the owner. Instead of addressing my concern or showing any willingness to improve, he became defensive and dismissive, saying, “You don’t have to buy it if it wasn’t good… I don’t force you to buy anything.” His tone was rude, and I felt disrespected not just as a customer, but as a woman. I was simply sharing feedback so other customers could have a better experience, but instead I was met with hostility. Respect and good customer service are essential, and unfortunately, I did not experience either here. I will never shop at this place again.
I bought Tuckers Fijian Ice Cream here! It was $8.99 and it was so good! Parking here is limited and they take Apple Pay. The store is small, they have lots of different meat like New Zealand sausage and lamb chops. They have fish, jackfruit, mutton and mackerel. Lots of Fijian snacks like twisties, bongos and ufos. Will come here again when I need more stuff
