We ordered Filipino food ahead of time to take away (Package A – 50 packs) plus a few extra items for my son’s 8th birthday celebration at Crossroad Christian church. The ordering process was smooth—I spoke with the staff, made a deposit, and everything was well organized. On the day of pickup, all the food was ready on time, which made it very convenient. The food was absolutely delicious—authentic Filipino flavors, freshly made, and a big hit with everyone at the party! The store is small but packed with a great variety of Filipino dishes. I would definitely love to try their barbecue next time. Parking is a bit limited since it’s mostly street parking, but overall the quality of the food and service makes it worth it. I’ll be coming back but only to bring food home. BBQ chicken was delicious, sinigang was also delicious but way too oily. Their sinigang is spicy and extra sour. There isn’t that much rice for a plate. Huge portions. No vinegar :( No seating inside does kinda suck especially if you get soup, you can’t easily eat it in the car. This is probably best for people who will be bringing food back to a place to eat. They take cash and Zelle only. The staff are nice.

If you think you’ve had good barbecue in the Bay Area, but you haven't stood in the sidewalk line at Fil-Am, you are missing a piece of Filipino culinary history. Whether grabbing a meal for yourself, your family, or enough for a large party, this legendary counter has fed countless family dinners and house parties with the real-deal, smoke-kissed Filipino street food we locals love. First things first: hit the ATM before you get here because it is strictly cash-only, and you will face a long line. But trust me, the line moves fast, and the smell of sweet charcoal smoke hitting you from the sidewalk makes every minute worth it. We ordered a massive haul for the group. The absolute stars of the show are the Pork Skewers and Chicken Skewers (or chicken kabobs, as some call them). For just around $3 a stick, these are heavily marinated, masterfully grilled, and coated in a sticky, sweet, savory glaze with the perfect amount of crispy charred edges. We paired a mountain of skewers with their classic, comforting Pancit noodles and a tray of crispy golden Lumpia Shanghai. To round out the savory feast, we grabbed their deeply savory Chicken Adobo, the peanut-rich Kare-Kare, and their popular tomato-braised Caldereta beef stew. We finished the entire block party on a sweet note by splitting a bunch of my favorite, their Turon, sweet fried banana spring rolls rolled in brown sugar that crunch beautifully when you bite into them. Fancy plating and indoor seating can’t compete with a charcoal grill and a multi-generational recipe. Fil-Am doesn't need a dining room because their product is undefeated.

Fil-Am Cuisine @ 66 School St, Daly City, CA 94014 A small eatery offering takeout only — no dine-in, but the food is worth it! They’re known for their tasty pork and chicken barbecue, which are both flavorful and satisfying. We also tried the Bam-i (their mixed noodles); it’s more on the pancit bihon side than pancit canton (its not 50% on both but about 25/75 more favor on pancit bihon), but the serving was generous and filling. Parking is along the side street and can take a bit of time, but overall, it’s a nice spot for a quick Filipino food fix.

I've heard good things about this place everywhere and finally went to try it on my own. It definitely isn't the cleanest place but everyone knows that amazing food always comes with a bit of a mess in the kitchen. I got their bbq chicken and pork and I'm not joking when I say this. It genuinely taste like I put a straight raw chicken breast in my mouth. 😭😭 The same way a raw chicken smells is the same way my chicken taste. You know what? Sometimes places have their hits and misses. Moving into the pork, for just my piece, not talking about in general for every piece, it was 85% fat 15% meat. While some may like this, I didn't really find it the most appealing. I couldn't tell you about the flavor because I still could taste chicken in my mouth. 😭😂 Service isn't the best, no card/zelle/venmo, all cash and can be a bit impatient in my experience.
