Nicest shopkeeper ever. Walked me through my wife's complicated shopping list and saved my life, lol. They cook their own hot foods and are very similar to Hmong restaurants. Will come again if I'm ever in town.
Just discovered this store and was excited to find a Filipino store in the area. I bought a $12.50 pack of bibingka from the shelf and a frozen ube bibingka from the freezer. The owner chit chatted with me and told me to wrap a papertowel and microwave it. So once I got to the hotel room I did just that. It was so hard and not edible. Once I arrived at home the next day I tried the ube but first I pressed it. Same hard texture! I also bought Silvanas from the freezer which now I am afraid to try it. What a let down. $25 wasted.
Visiting from Illinois, I received a very warm welcome from the owner that made me feel right at home. They offered pre-meals and a variety of snacks, which added to the delightful experience. Overall, it's a wonderful place to visit if you're craving Filipino cuisine!
