I have visited the Free People store at the Houston Galleria four times, and each time, I have been disappointed by the lack of customer service. On my first visit, I saw five sales associates gathered at the cash register, talking. I was the only customer in the store, visiting during off-peak hours, yet not one person greeted me or offered assistance. The second visit was no different—two employees stood behind the register and didn’t acknowledge me. On my third visit, I walked by the register and said “hello,” but it was as if I didn’t exist—no one responded. The fourth time, I carried an item around for five minutes, walked by two associates who were again talking, and was completely ignored. I placed the item on the counter and left. One of the associates glanced down at the item as I was leaving but said nothing. This experience is unlike any other Free People store I’ve shopped at across the country. My wardrobe is filled with Free People items, but this store clearly doesn’t meet the company’s usual standards. The lack of customer service reflects poor management—there is no accountability or emphasis on making sales. It’s clear that customer service is not a priority at this location, and it’s frustrating given the amount I would have spent if anyone had taken the time to assist me. Oddly enough, the staff at the nearby Free People Movement store have been excellent. The issue is solely with the Free People store in the Galleria. Is this truly the best you can do, Free People?

After having terrible experiences with other stores within the Houston Galleria, it was such a pleasure to come into the Free People Branch. The Current Manager was absoloutly lovely, patient, and kind while assisting me with my newly purchased wedding dress. I am overjoyed to be able to wear my perfect dress on my perfect day and had such a wonderful experience while going through the process. My mother and I are customers for life! Thank you so much!

Rashida was tremendously helpful. I’ve never had a retail experience like I’ve had with her. Not only did she find me amazing jeans and called a store in New Jersey to complete my outfit and have it shipped... she had taken the time to find me alternate options prior. I highly recommend her for any of your fashion needs.

Bought a pair of shorts for $70 (which is VERY overpriced) and when I found these same exact shorts on another site for cheaper, I decided to return them. The shorts I bought from here also didn't fit very well and I regretted purchasing them. So 7 days after the purchase I return to the same store and am being helped my the same woman, who I believe is the manager. Not only was she extremely rude and condesending, but she said my shorts looked worn out and smelled. Obviously shorts that have been sitting in my house for the past week will smell Differently than If they had been in the store, which wasn't even true as I asked multiple people and they had no "stench". i also don't understand how my shorts look worn when I've only tried them on a couple of times. Will never be returning to this store except to get my money back. She ended by accusing me of using their store as a clothing bank by buying clothes, wearing them, and then returning them. When actually I was returning them because I would NEVER wear them... because they were OVERPRICED and OVERSIZED!!!! ive had great experiences at this store with other employees, but will never be returning due to this woman's terrible attitude. (She was blonde, short, and rude)
