About

Freshcoat Nail Bar is listed on FindALoco in Charlotte, NC with address, phone, website, hours, and map location. Common services and related keywords include Nail Salon.

Freshcoat Nail Bar is a nail salon at 1315 East Blvd Unit 150 in Charlotte, NC 28203. It offers nail care including basic manicures, gel removal, and services for toes. Customer comments also mention relaxing massage, neat-looking toes, and nail sets that drew compliments. If you are looking for a neighborhood salon for routine nail care or a fresh manicure, Freshcoat may be worth considering, with the important note that recent visitors describe a smaller setup and limited staffing.

Reviews reflect a range of experiences. Some customers praise the friendly team and call out individual technicians for their massage, pedicure work, and nail designs. One happy visitor described the atmosphere as upbeat and said the staff made the visit enjoyable. Other customers say they had positive experiences in the past but feel the salon has changed, with fewer technicians and a more compact space than before. These differing accounts make it useful to check current availability and expectations before planning a visit.

The salon’s published address is on East Boulevard, and several reviewers describe its current space as small, with two stations or technicians. Some also report that the salon shares or connects its space with a dog-grooming business. Because layouts and staffing can change, contact the salon directly to confirm the current arrangement and whether a particular service or technician is available. Reviewers have also mentioned trying to walk in without finding a technician available, so booking ahead may be a practical choice rather than relying on same-day availability.

Freshcoat Nail Bar has a reported rating of 3.9 from 43 reviews, and the feedback includes both strong recommendations and concerns. Alongside praise for personable staff and attractive nail results, some customers have raised questions about pricing, value, and consistency. One reviewer described paying $45 before tip for gel removal and a basic manicure with regular clear polish. That is one customer’s account, not a posted price list, so ask for an estimate and clarify what is included before service if cost matters to you.

Hours are Monday 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Tuesday 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Wednesday through Friday 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and Saturday 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; the salon is closed Sunday. These hours can help you plan a weekday or Saturday appointment in Charlotte, but it is sensible to verify them and confirm availability before heading over. For guests who value a friendly interaction and nail work highlighted positively by some local reviewers, Freshcoat is one option to explore; for a guaranteed walk-in or a larger salon setting, check the current details first.

I had a disappointing experience at this salon. Prior to 2026, I always had great experiences here—the service and staff were consistently excellent. However, things seem to have changed. The salon shares space with a dog grooming business, and the setup is very small with only two stations, which made the experience feel a bit cramped. While my nail tech was very friendly and kind, the service itself was not up to par. A gel manicure took about 2.5 hours total—over an hour just to remove my old polish and another hour to apply the new gel, which felt excessive. It seemed like the technician was new and was working alone without any support or guidance, which unfortunately showed in the final results. My nails came out uneven and inconsistent in shape. I completely understand that everyone has to learn, but new staff shouldn’t be left on their own in situations like this, as it directly impacts the customer experience. I also paid full price for the service and was only offered 15% off a future visit, which didn’t feel like an adequate resolution. She did thank me for my patience, which I appreciated, but unfortunately I won’t be returning.

I’ve been coming here for several months, and it used to be a beautiful, aesthetic nail salon with multiple nail techs and stations. Unfortunately, they’re now down to two techs and have relocated to a cramped, tiny space connected to a dog …

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I used to hear so many good things about this salon from the locals in the area. I thought I'd try to do a walk in but they don't seem to do that because they don't have any nail techs available anymore, seems like they have downsized to 2 nails techs. This so called nail salon shouldn't be called a luxury spa, it's a nail studio being run out of a dog grooming business. I personally love animals but who wants to spend money on spa services when all you'll hear is dogs barking while you try to sit & relax. For the prices they charge with the way the environment is, I will definitely be going somewhere else to get my nails done. I don't recommend.

My rating has nothing to do with the staff experience - they were all very nice. I paid $45 BEFORE tip to have gel removed and a basic manicure with clear regular polish (no gel) - so I paid $55 after tip which is laughable. Other reviews mention they use high quality products but in my case just an OPI top coat was used. The manicure was in fact very basic, see photos. $55 for this is craaaaazzzyyyyy.
