Fu-Wah Mini Market is a neighborhood convenience store at 810 S 47th St in Philadelphia, PA, in the Cedar Park area of West Philadelphia. It brings everyday market shopping together with made-to-order Vietnamese food, making it a practical stop for people looking for a quick meal as well as groceries and household essentials. The shop is open daily, Monday through Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Its 4.6-star rating across 219 reviews reflects a range of customer experiences, with many reviewers highlighting the food, selection, friendly owners, and value.

Banh mi is one of the most frequently praised choices. Customers describe the classic banh mi with pate, pickled vegetables, and bread, and some recommend adding extra mayonnaise or choosing a spicy version. Reviews also mention chargrilled pork banh mi, with one customer praising the filling while noting that bread texture may not suit everyone. Opinions about the bread differ: some customers love its texture, while another found it chewy rather than crisp. That variation is useful to keep in mind if you have a particular preference for your sandwich bread.

The menu extends beyond banh mi. Customers call out the tofu hoagie as a favorite and mention that there are many other menu items, with food prepared to order. Alongside the prepared food, shoppers report finding noodles, ice cream, fruit, fresh produce, fresh bread, and household essentials. This combination makes Fu-Wah Mini Market a useful option when you want to pick up a sandwich and a few everyday items in one visit, rather than making a separate stop for each.

The atmosphere is described as that of a cool, small neighborhood market, and reviewers often mention good prices and friendly owners. As with any locally run shop, individual service encounters can vary; one reviewer reported feeling uncomfortable during a checkout interaction, while other customers describe the owners positively. For nearby residents, students, workers, and visitors exploring Cedar Park or West Philadelphia, Fu-Wah Mini Market offers a convenient place to browse groceries and order a casual Vietnamese-style sandwich. Check the current menu and details in person if you have a specific item in mind, and visit during its daily 9:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. hours.

I love the classic banh mi here. The bread is perfect. The paté is dank. The pickled veggies are the perfect size. I prefer it spicy. I could eat one every day.

BEST TOFÜ HOAGIE EVER! Only $6.50 and worth every penny. They’ve got a ton of other menu items. Also they have many different products (noodles, ice cream, fruits fresh produce and fresh bread) and household essentials. Owners are also friendly. Really lovely overall and good prices too. will definitely come back!

I’ve always felt my favorite banh mi spots were in north and south Philly. Oh my I’ve found another amazing spot located in the cedar park neighborhood of west Philly. Order the classic with pate and extra mayo, something about their mayo sauce mix, with every bite it got better and better 🤤🤤 …

Went here to get banh mi base on review on reddit. Big mistake bread is chewy and not crispy. Filling is good though ordered the chargrill pork but the bread just destroyed

cool little market, and tasty food that is made to order. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the man who rang me out yelled at me when I wanted to pay for my order of food before it was done. Made me feel like I was an idiot or something and was super confused by it.
