Unimart is a convenience store in San Francisco, CA, serving the SoMa area from 1201 Howard St with long daily hours from 7:00 AM to midnight. For locals, nearby workers, and anyone passing through central San Francisco, it offers the kind of practical stop that can make a day easier: quick groceries, everyday household basics, drinks, snacks, and simple pantry staples in one neighborhood location. In a city where prices and convenience can vary a lot from block to block, Unimart stands out most for being a straightforward place to grab essentials without making a major shopping trip out of it.
What many customers mention first is the selection of fresh produce. Reviews call out the fruits and vegetables as a real bright spot, especially for shoppers looking for affordable options in San Francisco. People have also noted good prices on basics like milk, bread, and cereal, along with household items that are useful when you need something quickly and do not want to travel far. That mix gives Unimart a broader neighborhood-store feel than a grab-and-go snack stop alone. If you are looking for a convenience store in San Francisco, CA where you may be able to pick up produce and home essentials in the same visit, this is the kind of place worth knowing about.
The atmosphere seems to be best described as casual and very local. Customers have appreciated the accessible selection of drinks, snacks, produce, and frozen treats, and one review even mentioned a resident cat that adds a memorable, distinctly neighborhood touch. At the same time, public feedback suggests the experience can be uneven depending on when you visit. Some shoppers describe friendly service and strong value, while others mention concerns about noise late at night or inconsistent customer service. For many people, that means Unimart may be most appealing when your priority is convenience, price, and proximity rather than a polished supermarket experience.
Overall, Unimart fits a practical role in San Francisco, CA as a neighborhood convenience stop for everyday needs. It can be a useful option for nearby residents, students, workers, and late-evening shoppers who need produce, snacks, cereal, bread, milk, drinks, or household goods without a long detour. The best match is someone who values quick access and budget-friendly basics, especially fresh fruit and vegetables that reviewers say can be surprisingly affordable. For people searching local listings for a convenience store in San Francisco with long hours and a community-corner-store feel, Unimart is a simple, familiar option to keep in mind.

Sign in to reviewThe best store I have ever tried. It was great. I bought fresh fruits at a very good price, as well as household items. They have milk, bread, and cereal, which are cheaper than all the stores.
Friendly 24/7 convenience store with a solid selection of drinks, snacks, and some produce. Ice cream freezer in the back could use a check—some items weren’t fully frozen. Bonus: a cute resident cat makes the visit even better! 🐱
I asked how much for a certain product cuz they dont put a price tag on it so I need to ask the cashier working today (Jan 6, 2026 3:20pm) he was on the phone with someone and just told me its on the shelves, I tol him there's nothin on there and no price at all. He was annoyed by just answering. Dont work there if you going to be rude and not be on the mood talking to a customer. No price tag on most of the items means u should b prepared to be asked how much is it.
I've lived here across the street from this store for 16 years. This was once a great and friendly corner store. Now the new owners play obscenely loud music all night long through a gigantic speaker that is pointed right out the front door. Pretty much every night from 10pm - 4am. Absolutely awful people, do not give them any business.
[IT IS A MUST GO FOR FRUITS AND VEGGIES] I went here once, when I couldn't find ANYTHING to eat literally. Everything was closed. And this place has great quality fruits and veggies at an extremely affordable price. Like $1 for 4 apples, if I recall correctly. Most of everything in here is IMPOSSIBLE to find anywhere else. SPECIALLY in San Francisco.
