Sign in to reviewI've driven by this little gem (downtown Chula Vista, 3rd Ave Village) many times & always see a line of 6 to 10 people & the line never seems to end. Service was actually very quick with delicious & varied drinks coming out first & food following shortly thereafter. Coffees were so flavorful & the menu is better than most coffee shops. We have Tamaco egg salad sandwich & tomato basil soup w/thick grilled cheese. Seating is all outside in a nice patio & on sidewalk tables. Worth the visit.
Came here on 1/30 to support the banana bread latte sales going to Al Otro Lado! The 20 minute wait just to order was worth it. Service and staff were really great! While in the busy rush without hesitation they acknowledged and gave a homeless man an iced cold water at his request! Definitely will be back again for more drinks and pastries!
Came on a Monday in hopes that it wasn’t too much and that was a good idea however by the time I left it got busier. Line moves fast and it’s definitely worth the wait. Great options on drinks! I had the cafe de olla latte iced and it was 🔥 so good! I also have the iced citrus refresher I mixed both flavor options which I believe were mango and strawberry. It was like having a tamarindo candy in a drink. Not too sweet and refreshing on a hot day! It paired nicely with the white chilaquiles, they were delicious. Also took a carrot cake loaf to go. Staff was friendly and efficient. It’s a small coffee shop and they do ask that 5 people go in at a time to help keep it cool and obviously not be too cramped. Bathrooms are available for customers. Plenty of seating area. I had a great experience and I would return. Their matcha drinks seem be popular I saw a lot of people ordering those.

I enjoy coming here every other day that I am free. I have to say that the main reason I come back is for their chilaquiles blancos. I do think their espresso is decent, so if you like strong coffee, I do recommend visiting elsewhere. One thing I do want to point out is that I often experience a lack of friendliness or hospitality from a couple of employees each time I visit. I don't really see the same faces every time, but this is my main concern about this coffee shop. If you leave out the fact that it's always busy due to the popularity they gained, I think the food and drinks make it worth it to wait for. However, their customer service makes it hard to go back at times as they rarely smile or lack the right skills to interact with customers and cater to their needs. I say this from my personal experience; it's a let down that each time I've been there I'm met with this cold attitude.
