The variety makes Good Bird a practical choice when different appetites or preferences need to come together in one order.

Reviews describe a quaint, relaxed spot that suits college students, nearby locals, and visitors looking for something convenient while exploring the area. Some customers order for pickup or delivery, while others visit in person; one reviewer appreciated being able to fit a flavorful meal between online meetings. Feedback often praises generous portions, tender and savory chicken, and distinctive menu choices. The Larry Bird spinach wrap is singled out as tasty and filling, and reviewers mention that an extra serving of chicken can be added. Portions may be substantial enough to leave some diners with leftovers.

Experiences can vary by item and personal preference. Positive reviews describe lightly toasted bread, flavorful sauces, fresh salad ingredients, and satisfying sides. One customer praised the Southwest Salad for its chicken, avocado, and bacon, while another enjoyed the purple slaw and homemade chips. A critical review, however, found one sandwich soggy and bland, and felt its price did not match the experience. That contrast is useful context when deciding what to order: check the current menu and choose the sandwich, wrap, salad, or sides that sound best to you. The available reviews suggest that chicken-forward dishes and wraps are frequent favorites, but no single order is guaranteed to suit everyone.

10/10 never misses. Great price, generous serving size (I always have leftovers), and delicious, unique menu! I love the Larry Bird on a spinach wrap. The homemade chips on the side are fabulous! Could not recommend more. Student friendly! AND- you get a punch card, so after 10 visits you get a free item!

Needed something quick near my hotel between Zoom meetings and I'm so glad I found Food Bird. I ordered the Southwest Salad via Uber Eats (so did not get to see the atmosphere) and wow. It was absolutely packed with flavor! Fresh ingredients, generous portions of chicken, avocado, and bacon and every bite was delicious. If you're looking for a fresh, satisfying meal in New Orleans, this place is definitely worth a stop.

I ordered the popular sandwich whatever this was in the picture. The bread was super soggy dry to eat and flavourless. I get the point of a healthy alternative but making a sandwich that feels like left overs from grandmas fridge shouldn’t cost 15$ oh with a handful of chewy sliced potato’s. Busy place though they must have great marketing

A perfect, quaint little place for college kids, locals, and the traffic-weary tourist. We had the Good Bird, Birdman Jr, chicken only (kids), hummus, fries, and sides of purple slaw, and everything was, unsurprisingly, good. The chicken was savory, the bread was lightly toasted, and the sauce was in point. We did order the purple slaw on the side, which would have normally come on the sandwich, and I'm glad mine came the way we ordered it, but my wife's still had the slaw on the sandwich. She promptly picked each piece off, but still devoured every last bite of her sandwich. Why did it matter? The slaw is extremely salty. We didn't know this to begin with but it would have ruined my sandwich. Eating it on the side was fine, and it actually is tasty, but way too salty (for me, my wife thought it was too sweet - I fear her taste buds might be broken). The hummus was, well, hummus, and the fries were okay. I didn't appreciate the $6 can of Coke, especially since IT'S A 12 oz CAN OF SODA THAT COMES IN A 12 PACK FOR UNDER $10 AT ANY STORE IN THE COUNTRY. But I digress. The staff seemed irritated to take our order, irritated that they didn’t get the order right to begin with, and irritated that I had to go back to ask where the sides of slaw were. Lastly, this place isn't cheap. You get about a 1/2 cup of pulled chicken per sandwich, they don't come with sides, and then the 12 oz soda is $6 FRIGGIN DOLLARS! So, maybe plan to just partake of the free tap water they provide, especially if you plan on having the salty slaw.

Ordered the Larry Bird. The rap was very tasty and filling. Add an extra chicken. Very glad I did. The chicken is tender thighs that are flavorful juicy and full of protein! …
