Sign in to reviewThis market was quite better than I expected. It's pretty spacious inside and there's a wide selection of Asian products that are well stocked. The prices here are typically lower than what you'll find at 99 Ranch. The atmosphere is also quite different, and feels more oriental. The market itself however is also tattered, and it can be a challenge whenever it's crowded.
This store have tons of good stuff. The produce section is great, and everything is fresh. Wish there were more Thai food to choose from, but can imagine it's hard to keep all brands and flavors. Fresh fish, seafood, and meat.
Good Fortune Supermarket used to the Hong Kong Market and it has transferred the ownership about 10 years ago. I used to take my mother for Chinese grocery shopping on Fridays. The supermarket is smaller scale than 99 Ranch Market but they got some products directly import from China. Generally speaking the produce, seafood and meats are cheaper than other competitors. Market decor and cleanness are just scored average and floor is outdated vinyl floor. Wishing they can put some ready made Chinese food and that can be attracted more customers into their supermarket.
A decent central supermarket with good options and vegetable section. Smells like an Asian market, but a clean one with all the spices and pantry staples. Decent seafood section and large fresh produce. Clean organized aisles.
Yesterday, my husband bought 10 bags of sunflower seeds at this supermarket, priced at $3.79 each, totaling $37.90. Today, he opened one bag, and it wasn’t crispy at all. I opened another, and not only was it stale, but many seeds tasted moldy and bitter. I double-checked the expiration dates and was shocked to find that 3 out of the 10 bags were expired. The expiration date was November 27, 2024, but we purchased them on December 18, 2024. Consuming expired and moldy food poses serious health risks, including food poisoning, stomach discomfort, and even exposure to harmful toxins produced by mold, such as aflatoxins, which can lead to severe illness. We live over an hour’s drive from this store, so returning the items is not an option. I’m leaving this review to warn others that this supermarket is unreliable. Always check the expiration dates carefully when shopping here.So scary!
