Greg's Japanese Auto

Super happy with our experience at Greg's Auto! We were travelling and had an issue with our vehicle. We drove up to the shop and they fit us in and got us on our way quickly. They even did a mechanical check over for free knowing we wouldn't be getting the repairs done with them since we are not from the area. Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! Would definitely use them again!

My hybrid Honda Civic came in with a long list of issues: zero oil, a broken engine coil (out of the eight it uses), and a dire need for a hot engine flush, new brakes, fresh brake fluid, and a full tune-up. The team at Greg’s Japanese Auto Repair handled it all brilliantly. I’ve been bringing my cars to them for a decade because their workmanship is consistently top-notch. The only area where they could improve is keeping customers better updated on estimated completion times.

Dropped my car off at 11 am for a brake inspection. Called at 4pm for an update and was told it wasn't ready. They asked me to come in 30 minutes later just to receive a quote. I left 5+ hours with no work done. To add to my frustration, I had rear rotors and brake pads replaced here in September 2025. Less than 9 months and 7,000 miles later, I'm being quoted for the same rear rotor work. I was never informed of any warranty on that previous repair. The staff which was Mike, wasn't rude but the communication and turnaround time need serious improvement. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

Pros: The gentleman at the front desk was friendly (can't remember his name unfortunately), the thorough inspection with pictures and videos was helpful and appreciated, and they seem to do good work at fair prices. Cons: Communication and time expectations could use some improvement. I dropped my car off at 9 am for an oil change and inspection (I made an appointment online) and didn’t get any kind of status update until around 4. I tried calling around 2 or 3, but no one answered.

I got in to the Tukwila shop for a wheel alignment. I am greatly pleased with the friendliness and professionalism of the manager and the technician performing the service. They got me in on time of my appointment and got me out in fast time. The technician carefully inspected the exterior of my car and provided me photos when they took it in. I am completely satisfied with the service and the awesome price. I definitely recommend Greg’s Japanese Auto in Tukwila and Michael the manager there.
