If you are looking for genuine Algerian flavors, this restaurant is absolute perfection. The food was completely delicious from start to finish. The absolute standout was the fantastic couscous. It is light, fluffy, and pairs with an incredible synergy alongside the spicy, perfectly grilled merguez sausage. We also ordered the tajine zitoune and chtitha lham. Both dishes were deeply flavorful, authentic, and utterly delicious. The service was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting an exceptional dining experience!

Its my first time trying Algerian cuisine here, and honestly it was a great experience! We tried here the kebab plate which has lamb and chicken, both were tender, juicy, full of flavor and must important prepared fresh right infront. also had their signature couscous pot, which was such a highlight for me. It’s a hearty, warm, and comforting dish with lamb, beef sausages, and chicken, all halal as confirmed by the owner. It was rich, satisfying, and I can see why so many people around us were ordering the same dish. The chicken shawarma wrap was also very good juicy, well-seasoned, and honestly stood out compared to other local shawarma spots And I’ telling you their traditional sweets are not to be missed its absolutely delicious! My favorite was the white one coated with a light lemon-dusted powder (I think). It was so well-balanced, fresh not overly sweet. Overall, it’s a great addition to Berkeley. I would definitely recommend it and would revisit again

Absolutely phenomenal addition to the neighborhood serving authentic Algerian food and Persian kabobs. The owner is delightful and very passionate. The food is cooked perfectly and represents both cultures well. Extremely fair prices, portion sizes and clean Ingredients. You don’t feel heavy at all after the meal. It’s also located super close to the Bart, I’d highly recommend going out of your way to come here. The mixed couscous and joojeh soltani were both out of the park.

Amazing experience from start to finish. The food had incredible authentic flavor, and you could tell everything was made fresh. Every bite was well balanced and full of taste, and the sandwich portions were more than generous. The staff was welcoming, the service was fast, and the restaurant itself was very clean and comfortable. The owner was also great and very hospitable, which made the experience even better. Definitely a great spot for authentic Algerian street food. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

We tried the chicken kebab and the beef, and both were incredibly juicy, tender, and just perfect. The first time, we ordered it to go—but it was so good that we decided to come back again and dine in. It seems like there might be a new owner, and whatever changed, they’re doing an amazing job. Definitely worth a visit!
