H Mart Falls Church

I stopped in for some specific Badia seasonings and black pepper sauce, and the service was incredible. Even though it was late, two associates went above and beyond to help me. One gentleman from the seafood department and a member of the customer service team both patiently tracked down exactly what I needed in different aisles. We’re regulars in this particular location for our spices, and this positive experience is exactly why. Hats off to the team for the great help.

I’ve been a customer of this Hmart for over 15 years. It’s convenient and they have all the products I need. However the cashiers and support staff at checkout is something to be desired. On multiple occasions, I was charged for something I didn’t buy… too late when you’re already home. I have called in a few times but the customer service desk wants you to come back to the store with a receipt. The last time which was about 2 weeks ago, they were too busy to even speak with me on the phone. I was checking out that day with my bags when an associate jumped in to bag the items. I requested her to not mix the hot food with the cold food and her response to me over and over was “you got it’ and walked away. I bagged the items myself that day as I’ve done in many other occasions in the past. I think they should be better trained in bagging and what customer service really is for a better experience. I’m frustrated that because of the constant checkout incidents I dread going to this Hmart to spend my money. I hope that this gets to the person who can make a change.

I went to this location yesterday as an Instacart shopper. I couldn't find an item, so I asked one of the workers, and she directed me to customer service. The man in the picture was there and he was very rude and unprofessional for no reason. I remember him from a past visits that time he was stocking. I asked if someone could help me find a few items, and he said no. I asked for the manager, and he told me there wasn't one available. I explained I needed help finding a few items, and he asked if I was doing Instacart. I said yes. He then told me no one was there to help me because I was doing Instacart. As I mentioned before, I saw him previously when he was stocking on another day, and he refused to help me or have another worker help and point me in the right direction. He is very rude and unprofessional, and this is not his first time treating me unkindly. The lady who directed me to customer service asked a cashier for help, and the cashier pointed me to the right location for the three remaining items I needed. I want to thank her and the cashier for being kind enough to help me get all three items so I could complete my order. This man is the main reason I am rating this store low.

Great selection of seafood. Smaller than other Hmarts but still always busy.
