Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

I had a really frustrating experience at Hand and Stone. My partner and I booked a couples massage and were told a specific price over the phone because my partner was new, but when we got there they tried to charge us a higher amount. When I brought up what I was told on the phone, the employee suddenly changed the price back to the original amount, which made the situation feel really dishonest. On top of that, the staff member was extremely persistent about pushing a membership. We politely said no multiple times, but she kept bringing it up and trying to convince us to sign up, which made the whole experience uncomfortable and pushy instead of relaxing. With that, I got a call the next day of her trying to push for the membership again. This whole situation felt like harassment and poor selling. To make things worse, when we questioned the pricing issue she tried to blame the girl next to her, saying she was new, instead of just taking responsibility. Overall it felt very unprofessional and kind of shady. A massage appointment should be relaxing, but the whole situation left a bad impression. Also to mention she charged our couples massage separately and said they cannot be one transaction. She tried to charge me around $280 when I was told on the phone it would be around $200. It was constant going back and forth until she finally agreed to the price I was told. It was very unprofessional. Apart from this ladies terrible sales skills the massages were great!

My first visit at Hand and Stone for the Classic Massage + Hot Sones was great. Kwame was awesome and addressed my hip pain. I will definitely be back.

The email asked me to show up 15 mins early. I did. The receptionist looked confused and asked me to give them a moment because “uhhh your therapist isn’t here yet” then proceeds to call the therapist to ask where they are at. Both girls were nice btw. 2 mins before my actual appointment strolls in a gentleman. I went back to the desk and asked if I can please have a female instead, I didn’t see an option to have a male or a female as my therapist during my online scheduling. So now in order to cancel it costs me 15% which I had to correct them since they first wanted to charge me $72 for a $150 session. That’s 50%…so they had to remath and it came out to $36. That still doesn’t math but I was so frustrated I just left. I was expecting more from my community where I own and lived in for the past 6 years. Get your professionalism up especially in a community like Riverstone.

Had a great experience with kwuame ! The massage was very relaxing and exactly what I needed. Kwame was professional, attentive, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I left feeling refreshed and stress-free. Definitely would come back and recommend to others
