Hannam Supermarket is a well-known Korean grocery store in Los Angeles, CA, serving shoppers who want a broad selection of Korean and Asian groceries in one convenient stop. Located on West Olympic Boulevard in the heart of Koreatown, this market has become a familiar choice for everyday essentials, pantry restocks, and specialty finds. With long daily hours from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, it works well for both quick weekday errands and more detailed weekend shopping trips.

What keeps many people coming back is the store’s strong variety. Shoppers regularly mention the range of Korean favorites, from snacks and frozen foods to fresh produce and prepared items. Reviews also point to specific grab-and-go options like fresh kimbap, mochi, and sushi bowls, making Hannam Supermarket useful not only for full grocery runs but also for picking up something ready to eat. Customers have also highlighted items like daikon kimchi, along with the overall mix of frozen and non-frozen products that make it easy to stock a Korean home kitchen or explore new ingredients.

For locals searching for a dependable Korean grocery store in Los Angeles, this market stands out for freshness and value. Reviewers often describe the produce as fresh and reasonably priced, and many longtime customers say the store carries almost every Korean favorite they look for. That makes it a practical stop for home cooks preparing Korean meals, families doing weekly shopping, and anyone in LA who wants access to ingredients that can be harder to find in a standard supermarket. The large review count also suggests that Hannam Supermarket is a place many residents know and use regularly.

The overall atmosphere is busy, active, and community-oriented. A few customers note that the aisles can feel cramped and that the market is often crowded, especially when parking is limited, so going earlier in the day may be a more comfortable option for some shoppers. At the same time, many people still describe it as a go-to market because of the selection, convenience, and familiarity. That balance feels true to a popular neighborhood grocery store: energetic, well-trafficked, and worth visiting when product variety matters most.

Whether you are planning a full pantry restock, searching for Korean snacks and frozen goods, or picking up fresh prepared foods on the go, Hannam Supermarket offers a practical shopping destination in Los Angeles, CA. For people living in Koreatown and nearby neighborhoods, it remains a reliable place to find Korean grocery staples, fresh produce, and everyday items under one roof. If you value variety, extended hours, and a market with a strong local following, Hannam Supermarket is a solid option to keep in mind.

I was impressed by its variety of Korean and Asian products. I bought several goodies, both frozen and non-frozen, although I haven't tried them all yet. My friend loved the Daikon Kimchi I got. It's a great spot to check out, but it feels a bit cramped, so I recommend going early if you're claustrophobic. They also have weekly sales.

Came here for a quick grocery run. Great selection, seems clean from the 20 mins we spent quickly perusing. Would come back again when we need Korean or Asian food items! They also had fresh kimbap, mochi, sushi bowl.

The produce here is fresh and reasonably priced, which I’ve always appreciated. However, I had an uncomfortable experience with one of the cashiers that left a bad impression. It felt like she assumed I wouldn’t have enough money to pay, and when my card went through without any issue, she seemed surprised. When I pointed out that I knew I had the funds, she simply brushed it off. It was disappointing, especially since this is my local store. Unfortunately, that interaction has made me reconsider coming back.

I’ve been their customer for two decades. They carry almost every Korean favorite, including popular Korean products and snacks. One downside is that it’s almost always crowded, and the parking lot is often full and hard to find a spot. Still, this is my go-to Korean market because the staff are always friendly and the produce, fruits, vegetables, and meats are consistently fresh. Highly recommended.
