Once again I was a victim of the Toyota dealership reeling me in with the promise of a free recall and then telling me my brand new car with hardly any miles on it, needed a litany of work done. I wanted a second opinion. My husband and I just felt uncomfortable and could tell the dealership was pushy, sales-y and felt a lot scammy. So we hopped on Reddit, and the community told us about Harbor Auto and Michael immediately. We are so happy we took our car here. We went from needing $3500 worth of work done, to out the door (with only an oil change and a complimentary HV fan filter cleaning) for under $120! I love this place. We are customers for life. We have 2 cars, and a wide network of friends that we will be sending here from this moment forward. Thank you for being awesome and genuinely taking care of us and our cars and not selling us on crap we don’t need. I appreciated Michael’s candor and forever feel comfortable coming here as long as he owns the place! I also want to say that Michael himself answered after one ring, got my car in when it was convenient for me, and finished up at a time that was also convenient to me. I honestly don’t know how he does it, but he managed to make me feel like I was his only customer and want to thank you profusely for that.
Had a splash guard rattle loose on a holiday weekend and Michael took care of me first thing on a Monday morning. During the time I was there, it was apparent that there were returning customers who had been going there for all their services and also first time customers who trusted Harbor Auto Service Center by the strength of their reputation and the trustworthiness that they have established. Highly recommended!
Walked up to some guy asked him if I could speak to somebody about getting some work done. Look at me like if I was crazy like if I walked into a candy shop asking for tires. Also, you need an appointment that's a huge zero.
Honest, effecient, and straight forward. Everything you need in a mechanic. Very impressed with the service and prices. I had taken it to another popular mechanic in HB who told me I needed a million and one things done, but for a high price. Brought it here for the work, and I know they are honest because they told me I actually didn't need all that done. Paid well below what I expected to pay. I'm very happy. Had my AC repaired and front brakes done.
It’s not easy finding a good honest mechanic. These guys are the exception! Johnny took great care of me and got my car fixed with no more oil leaks and now I found my new local mechanic. Thanks Again, Johnny and crew!!!
