The nurses and the physical therapist are very kind and thorough with treatment and communicate well on explaining for proper care. My mother had a stroke and after coming home from a skilled nursing facility, Healthflex was very prompt on scheduling and setting up appointments as soon as possible and my mother has shown great progress in her recovery. There have been times I have questions or extra help when I have a concern for my mother and each member is available to call and assist promptly over the phone, knowing that I can call and have a response quickly makes things so much easier.

My surgeon's office connected me to HomeFlex Home Health Services to assist me at home after a hip replacement. Overall, I am very happy with the services they provided and recommend them. I live alone so it was nice having people come by to help, especially the first 3 weeks after surgery which were the hardest A friendly rep phoned me a few days before surgery to introduce me to the services. She also called me at the hospital following surgery, instructing me to phone them as soon as I return home to launch the home services. I appreciated that. The nurses checked my vitals, changed the incision's dressing and adequately answered questions. The friendly, personable occupational therapist did a great job evaluating my living situation and determined I needed 2 grab bars for my shower/bath tub area for my safety, which I greatly appreciated. I wish though they the OT had connected me to my city's Dept. of Aging, who can provide free installation of these grab bars as the cost of this is tremendous. I was unaware of this free service provided by my city until several weeks after my last OT meeting. The first physical therapist assigned to me didn't work out so I requested another, and HomeFlex Home Health Services rep assigned me another without any problem. The second PT was much better, helping me regain confidence walking outside, navigating sidewalks and crosswalks which I needed and greatly appreciate. The PT prepared me to move on to a higher level of PT at the hospital. The only negative experience was higher level staff not returning calls. I had some questions, left messages twice, and no one returned the calls. Towards the end of my service, another question came up, and I was lucky that a supervisor was available by phone to answer the question so was transferred to him, and he answered my question satisfactorily.

I’m very fortunate to have this service. I was assigned Katy as my case manager and physical therapist after a hip replacement surgery. She is knowledgeable, competent and very responsive. I think I would be at a loss without her support. Having her support in this period is extremely important and necessary. Because there are so many uncertainties and anxiety that accompanies this process. But Katy was heaven sent. She is very smart and compassionate in her treatment. And never pushed me to do more than I’m capable but encouraged me to progress steadily. Before each visit I will have questions for her about my condition. She competently guided me through each step. She even saved me money by referring me to a place where I could get free medical supplies in SF. She also examined my wounds and taught me how to reduce swelling. She has rich resources to promote a healthy recovery. I have no hesitation saying my recovery has the best support through Heath flex . I wound recommend health flex highly. And if you’re lucky you may get Katy to help you through the post recovery process. Katy is priceless.
