Whether you are stopping in for a polish refresh or planning a more detailed nail service, the reviews suggest a range of experiences, so clear communication about your preferred look and available time can help set expectations from the start.
Services mentioned by customers include gel manicures and pedicures, builder gel, dip powder, acrylic full sets, and gel polish. One first-time guest praised Kathy’s acrylic set, noting that she helped find the right color and delivered the requested result in under an hour. Another customer described a relaxing pedicure and liked how it looked. These experiences make Helena Nails & Spa a place to consider if you are choosing between classic nail care and enhancements such as acrylic or dip powder; service choice and appointment timing may affect how long your visit takes.
Customer feedback is not uniformly positive. Some reviewers report excellent results and attentive care, including a guest who returned for help with dip powder and said Hanna and Lina made the nails look flawless. Others describe waits beyond their appointment time, rushed manicures, or polish that began peeling soon after a visit. Taken together, the reviews point to an important practical step: explain the finish you want, mention any repair or rebase needs before service begins, and ask how much time to allow—especially if you have errands or another appointment afterward. If a result does not meet your expectations, speak with the salon so the concern is clear.
The salon’s posted hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 11:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. For Denver residents and visitors near E 11th Avenue, Helena Nails & Spa may suit a planned manicure, pedicure, or nail enhancement appointment. Its broad menu of services mentioned in customer reviews offers options for different preferences, while the varied feedback makes it sensible to confirm timing and service details when booking. A little planning can help you choose the treatment that fits your schedule and communicate the look you have in mind.

This was my first time here, Kathy did a perfect job on my full set of acrylics with gel polish. She was able to help me find the perfect color I was looking for and I was in and out in less than an hour. It was EXACTLY what I wanted. I will absolutely be back! Thank you Kathy ♥️
Went in for a pedicure & gel manicure - the pedicure was relaxing and looks great. The manicure, however, may be the worst Ive ever gotten. It was rushed, very messy and is already peeling up less than 24 hours later - I could’ve done better with my own normal nail polish. She also cut the heck out of my cuticles and was very rough for a simple manicure. I’ve been here before and am usually fine with how they do but will not be back again.
I came in and said I didn’t have a lot of time and just wanted gel mani pedi. Was suggested a builder gel which I’ve never had done before. I should’ve asked if it took longer (it does) because I ended up running a little late for my next errands. They did start the mani while I was getting the pedi done though which was nice. Pedi came out great. On the mani, I don’t think I’ll do builder gel again. The application goes on too thick at the base. I personally don’t love a chunky nail. However the design I asked for came out exactly how I wanted and it looks so so nice! Will be coming back and just sticking to regular gel. The total was also $123 (before tip) which I was not expecting. Not sure if that is with 10% off they advertise on their website. Everyone was really nice!
EDIT: I came back and Hanna and Lina took such good care of me and redid the dip powder. My nails look flawless now! So glad I gave them another chance, this is officially my new neighborhood salon 🤍 Just moved to the neighborhood and was so excited to try this place. Spent $90 on dip powder, and 4 days later my nails are already peeling. The color I picked was way too sheer at 2 coats, you could literally see straight through to my natural nail. I get that the color choice was on me, I didn’t know it would be that see-through. But when I showed her my inspo photo and asked for a 3rd coat, she put gel on top of the dip instead?? Now the gel AND the dip are peeling, and my toes (just gel) are peeling too. The tech herself was sweet and tried to make it work, I really appreciated that. But I wish someone would’ve told me upfront that the color wasn’t going to hold, I would’ve picked something darker without thinking twice. For almost $100, I was expecting at least 3 weeks of wear, not 4 days.
I came in the first time a few months ago and they did great. The second and final time i came in about a week ago was not so good. Waited over 2 past my appointment before they were able to see me and the tech rushed through my nails and refused to do a rebase because now they wouldn't have time. Discovered a week later the polish isn't even cured on any of the fingers, one popped and got all over the place.
