Hello Vietnam | Phở & Roll is a Vietnamese restaurant at 8752 E Shea Blvd in Scottsdale, AZ. It brings together familiar Vietnamese favorites and a broader selection of Asian-inspired dishes, with options ranging from pho and spring rolls to noodles, wings, rice dishes, and boba drinks. For local diners searching for Vietnamese food in Scottsdale, the menu offers several ways to explore, whether you already know what you like or are trying a new dish for the first time. The available customer feedback is mixed, with an overall rating of 3.9 from 244 reviews, so individual experiences may vary.
Pho is one of the restaurant’s recognizable choices, and reviewers describe it as a solid option. The menu also includes spicy oxtail soup, spring rolls, and Singaporean noodles with shrimp. One customer appreciated that the shrimp noodles were not overly spicy and added chili sauce at the table, making the heat adjustable. Other reviewers have mentioned beef chow fun, fried rice, and garlic shrimp with steamed rice. These comments point to a menu that reaches beyond a single specialty, although taste and preparation have not impressed every guest equally.
The range can suit a table with different appetites: someone looking for soup can choose pho or oxtail soup, while another diner may prefer noodles, rice, or wings. Boba drinks provide another option alongside a meal. A first-time visitor to Vietnamese cuisine may find the selection a useful starting point, but reviews suggest that particular dishes can be uneven; one guest, for example, found the spring rolls bland, with tough rice paper and cold meat. Checking the menu and choosing based on your own preferences is a practical way to plan a visit.
Customers have described the dining room as quiet, and one review praised fast service, generous portions, and reasonable prices. The atmosphere may work well for a relaxed meal, a casual lunch, or dinner with friends and family. Feedback also includes a report that the restaurant closed around 8 p.m.; current hours are not available in the business information, so it is sensible to confirm opening times before heading over, especially for a later meal. The address is on East Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale.
For anyone comparing Vietnamese restaurants in Scottsdale, Hello Vietnam | Phở & Roll offers a varied menu and customer-reported highlights that include pho, shrimp noodles, beef chow fun, fried rice, and boba. Its review record includes both enthusiastic comments about food quality and service and less positive experiences with individual dishes. Nice quiet place for Vietnamese food. The service is fast, food portion is good and the price is reasonable. I really liked the Singaporean noodles with shrimp. It’s not very spicy, add some chili sauce at the table. They close a bit early at 8pm, plan accordingly. Sorry, I only took the picture after I ate most of it.
You ever walk into a pho place playing Vietnamese music, decorated with conical hats and lanterns… and not a single Vietnamese person working there? 🚩🚩 I’m thinking, “This is gonna be cultural appropriation in a bowl.” But then the pho arrives. And the broth? Not bad at all. Like, suspiciously good. Borderline offensive how good it was. So either they’ve got a Vietnamese grandma hidden in the back stirring pots with her eyes closed… or I just got my pho fix from the most unexpected plot twist of the year. 😂 Would I go back? Yeah. Will I question reality while doing so? Absolutely.
The assortment of food is great! From the wings to the oxtail spicy soup. They even have all sorts of boba drinks. The quality is very good on all items I had. Even the beef chow fun was excellent. The fried rice was very tasty and the pho was solid pho. Can’t go wrong with this spot!
July 7, 2026 Tuesday I have been a customer here for a while and have always enjoyed the food, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Today, around 1:15 p.m., I ordered the garlic shrimp with steamed rice. I only ate about half of my meal because I had to return to work. After my shift, I sat in my car to finish the rest of my food. When I took a bite, I felt something unusual. I looked at my food, as I normally do while eating, and found a hair in the middle of the steamed rice. I called the restaurant and left a voicemail, then went inside to let them know. One of the sisters was kind, refunded my meal, and I ordered a spring roll because I was hungry after a long day of taking care of clients. Unfortunately, the other sister came out with a demeanor and an unfriendly tone. She accused me of putting the hair in the food myself. She explained that the employee had short hair and that the steamed rice was prepared in batches in the morning. She also said, "This is the last time we will refund your money." I have also worked in a Vietnamese restaurant, so I understand how food is prepared. My question is: if the steamed rice is made in batches, who prepared the rice? Finding a hair in food can happen in any kitchen, but accusing a customer without evidence is not the right way to handle the situation. What disappointed me most was not finding the hair—it was being accused of doing something I did not do. I should not have had to defend myself for reporting a legitimate concern. Hair in the middle of the rice! I did not appreciate how I was treated. Before I left, the sister who refunded me apologized and said, "I'm sorry, Thuy," and told me she was sad that I would not be coming back. I also left a voicemail for the owner because I believe they should be aware of how this situation was handled. I hope this feedback helps improve customer service in the future.
Being new to Vietnamese food I was excited to try this place out. Unfortunately I was disappointed by the lack of flavor in the Spring rolls here. The rice paper was tough and the meat was cold and tasted bland. I was excited to try pho for …
