Sign in to reviewThis is not a Kroger or an H-E-B so don’t put it in that category. If you’ve been to any Asian country, this place, reminds you of it all the way down to the exotic fruits. You can get a fruit tree or Asian Tupperware. The fish market is want to see. Along with hanging pigs and ducks ready to be served if you want an adventure in Houston just walk down the aisles and bring the family a great anchor for the China city mall.
Notes for me to remember: 1. I like the plant nursery area inside this big market. 2. This is the market I need to go to for Louisiana premium grade dry shrimp
Large Asian grocery store inside a weird looking shopping mall. Why is it call HK when this place is Vietnamese own and sell south east Asia groceries. There are so many things here. You can even buy jewelry here But it is so outdated and dirty. It has an odd smell. Looks like it hasn't change since 1970s. Just go to 99 or H mart if you want Asian grocery.
Hong Kong City Supermarket is great! This was my first time shopping here. The prices are incredibly cheap, and the goods are exceptionally fresh. I hope everyone will come and check it out; they have both Chinese and Vietnamese food. The staff and owner are all very kind. Yesterday I bought a can of oil and left it in my shopping cart in the parking lot. Today I mentioned it to the owner, and they gave me a new can. There was also a young Chinese girl who helped translate. Thank you all! I wish you booming business and a Happy New Year!
I always come here for grocery shopping. Hong Kong International Supermarket is the biggest market in Houston, TX. My favorite is their seafood department because those Hispanic workers are always nice to me and always give me the best quality seafood. Their services are beyond my expectations. This supermarket has everything that you need. Be careful, some of their food products were expired. Do not buy their Vietnamese Chè dessert, because it was so sour. Most of their cashiers are not friendly and lack customer service skills, such as not providing customer service greetings. The woman in charge of the cashier registration is extremely unfriendly and lacks interpersonal communication skills.
