This was my first time coming to hood coffee & I tried the muertos iced latte & it was really good ! I had to come back the next day & I tried the green tamales, the bolillo, the conchas & cake pops . They were all so good, but the green tamales were amazing !!! They're packed with chicken & not dry . The girl in the front is very nice. Thank you Hood Coffee
Good people here but it took 22 minutes from my cash register time order time to get my drink. 22 minutes. One drink. Only 4 people ahead of me. All I ordered was a triple shot of espresso, with steamed heavy cream. When they finally brought it out, it was an iced coffee…not what I asked for. Then they said “we don’t do hot coffee.” They offered to remake (remake what, you don’t do hot coffee) but I did not have another 20 minutes. How about you tell me upfront? Didn’t my request for steamed heavy cream tell you enough? And, how do you NOT do hot coffee when espresso naturally comes out hot? 🤔 Just drip it into a paper cup for crying out loud. Doesn’t make any sense. In addition, there are zero signs anywhere that say“iced coffee ONLY“ which makes this really weird. Come on guys. You have a good reputation, but there’s another Vato around the corner waiting to pick up the slack where you fall short.
The absolute BEST iced coffee ANYWHERE. I love this shop and will be guzzling their coffee to my grave! I usually get the Mexican Mocha, cookie butter, or the Espresso Nube. My daughter loves the matcha latte, my husband digs the dragonfruit lemonade. Tamales and torta's are 🔥🔥🔥. Now they have chilaquilles, croissant sandwiches, and burritos! I gain weight just smelling the breads when people open the cabinets! This place makes my mornings❤️🤙🏾I adore the owners and their staff🤩
The coffees here are delicious, especially the matcha horchata. The menu is simple and easy to navigate, which makes ordering quick. I’ve tried the conchas—good, though a little dry for my taste. The main challenges are limited seating and parking, so plan ahead. Overall, it’s a nice spot if you’re looking for great coffee.
