I can’t recommend Huong Que Deli and Cafe enough — truly a 5-star experience from start to finish! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The space is clean, comfortable, and has that perfect balance of casual and charming — ideal whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or sitting down to enjoy a full meal. The food is where this place really shines. Everything tastes incredibly authentic, fresh, and made with care. The banh mi is perfectly done with crispy bread, flavorful fillings, and just the right balance of textures. Their rice noodle is rich, comforting, and deeply flavorful — you can tell the broth has been simmered with attention and tradition. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, and the quality really stands out. What made the experience even better was the service. The staff are genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. You can tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they do, which adds so much to the overall vibe of the place. This is the kind of spot you keep coming back to — whether you’re craving authentic Vietnamese comfort food or just looking for a reliable, delicious meal. It’s easily one of my favorite local gems in Seattle, and I’ll definitely be returning again and again. Highly recommend 😍

Hands down the best hủ tiếu in Washington!!! Just a heads up: because the place is so small, there is usually a long wait, and the building itself is honestly pretty run down and dirty. If you can look past the environment and just want incredible food, you have to try it. I really wanted to give it 5 stars because I love their food so much, but the atmosphere is a big turn off. That being said, the food is just too good to stay away, so I will definitely still come back from time to time.

Things I wish I saw reading reviews of this place: 1) Cash only (asian spot and at one point all the restaurants in this plaza were cash only) 2) main entrance is in the back where the parking is. Front door is locked or seldomly used. 3) Aunty (highly likely owner) is kinda spicy aka rude so be prepared 4) Know what you want before you walk in. There is 7 food items on the menu that overlap each other. Which can be confusing. Knowing what you want in the parking lot ahead of time will save you from sassy aunty. 5) The parking lot has lots of pot holes. The closer you get the more potholes. So i would advise parking west of the line of dumpsters creating a boundary in the larking lot. 6) Bo Kho and the egg noodles are the best thing to get on the menu evidently (they were out when i went) My friends recommended for me to come to this place a while ago and since it was by my house, I had it tagged. I thought today would be the day. I finally get to try it since I was in the area running errands. I walk through the back as you normally would and it just looks like any Asian restaurant that has been around a long time. You can see into the kitchen, which has questionable hygiene so it’s definitely not for the faint of heart, but it does not determine me to find good food personally, but for others that might be notable. The owner gestures for me to grab a seat which I do and they don’t typically bring you menus so I would recommend looking ahead on Google Maps and have your order ready before beforehand. I felt rushed to order as she kept coming back every minute or so even though the restaurant was seemingly empty with only two or three tables. It was my first time here and I did not know what to order so I was looking through the pictures and also texting my friend to get their recommendation. The owner/Auntie has an attitude, so be aware. It was 10:30 AM and they open at 10 AM when I was at the restaurant. My friend told me to order the Bo Kho (pronounced baah kahhh) with the egg noodle with a side of french bread. I walk up to the counter to order because I feel bad that the lady has come by so many times to ask me what I wanted and to not create any more friction between us. She told me they were out of the beef stew and they were cooking some in the back. Which is also weird because the restaurant only opened 30 minutes ago, so maybe it wasn’t ready for the day and was getting prepared for lunch. Anyways, my friend said that it’s an item that they run out of from time to time. I asked the lady what She recommends and she recommends me the hu tieu rice noodle soup. I don’t know if she recommended that to me because it is fast to make because it came out within a minute. In hindsight, I should’ve got the bó né. The broth is very sweet; too sweet for my liking and Bowl felt small for $18. I think I would’ve been happier with a bowl of pho around the corner at pho my chau. Nothing really stood out about the dosh or broth. The fried shallots overpowered the soup. I left feeling very unsatisfied with the food and the service. Rude and blunt service can be common at a lot of Asian restaurants but it has to be worth it and exchange for amazing food. As of now im leaving this a 2 star review and planning to come back for the bo kho beef stew jn the future. I saw a lot of native Vietnamese in there and not sure if she is just unwelcoming to non Vietnamese people. Either way it Bho Ko or bust. We will soon find out.

Items are pretty overpriced and the selection is not comparably more of value or quality compared to other nearby stores. …

*Good Hu Tiev Nam Vang (Phnom Penh Noodle Soup)* The exterior of this restaurant is unassuming, and the neighboring businesses are equally nondescript. However, upon entering, the atmosphere transforms, becoming decidedly more welcoming, and the delicious Phnom Penh noodle soup is a notable highlight. Patrons have the option to choose between egg noodles or traditional pho noodles, both of which are satisfying. I found the Vietnamese iced coffee to be somewhat bitter, and lacking sweetness, so I requested additional condensed milk. Fortunately, the server graciously accommodated my request. It is essential to note that this establishment accepts cash only, so patrons should be prepared. I did not notice any signage indicating this policy until I spoke with an older sister on the phone, who mentioned it. Subsequently, I inquired with the waiter, who calmly informed me, "Yes, cash only, but please, eat first." I enjoyed my meal briefly before proceeding to Safeway to withdraw cash. Conveniently, there is an ATM located within the store. I do hope that in the future, they will begin accepting credit cards, as this would greatly facilitate transactions. When this change occurs, I will upgrade my rating to 5 Stars. Overall, I wanted to share my experience to inform others of what to expect: a welcoming atmosphere, courtesy of the staff, and excellent cuisine.
