Sign in to reviewThis was a random Vietnamese coffee shop I’ve stumbled upon in Hillcrest and I def love their banana matcha latte. The servers were nice, and a cute seating outside. Will go back next time to try their other food items
I’m genuinely annoyed. The menu description promised a proper bánh mì. What arrived was a warm, heavily seasoned meat sandwich with a sad ribbon of carrot and daikon, a sliver of cucumber, maybe a jalapeño, and a cilantro confetti? No pickled vegetables to speak of. And can we talk about the fact that the menu says cold cut sandwich and what showed up was warm, fatty meat? That’s not a minor mix-up that’s a red flag. What is happening in that kitchen? That’s the whole problem. Without properly pickled veg, there’s nothing to cut through the salt and fat. The balance that makes bánh mì one of the most brilliant sandwiches ever constructed acid, crunch, freshness against rich savory meat was completely missing. If you’re not going to make it right, don’t call it bánh mì. Just don’t. Call it something else and own it. This was a mislabeled, overpriced disappointment. And honestly? I’m baffled by the reviews. So many glowing ratings I genuinely don’t understand what those people ordered, because what I got was nowhere close to worth the hype or the price. This is what you call a cold cut sandwich? Get out of TOWN.
Super delicious and wicked strong Vietnamese coffee!! The banh mis were equally as good, the people were cool, and the prices were fair. I’ll be coming back to try more of their menu!
I got the Vietnamese breakfast banh mi which had eggs and Chinese sausage in it. The baguette was fresh with a good crunch but also fluffy. Really yummy! The Vietnamese coffee was good and not too sweet. Also tried the matcha tea which had really nice flavors and a good vibrant green color to it. I am super picky with matcha and usually am disappointed but this one is actually good!
Bahn Mi is smaller than I thought but so delicious, also love the salted foam viet coffee.
