I-U Nails & Spa

Well I guess I realize now why this place is always so empty. It's the one next door to Sprouts on 67th Deer Valley. I've tried them in the past and thought maybe they didn't have a good array of colors in dip powder. I tried them again almost 2 weeks ago. Nice experience...1 person did my pedicure, the other my dip manicure. Both services were performed well, or so I thought, I paid, I tipped. $10 to each tech. Just in case... for reference, dip lasts as long as you want except for the new growth showing at your cuticle. My nails happen to grow long and swiftly. Well unfortunately, my entire middle finger color popped off in a week! And the other nails are catching at the cuticle, just waiting to meet the same fate. I find time to go back in today and let Amy (not the original tech) know that I need my finger to be dipped again. She says oh you just need to get your nails done again. I show her my hands displaying the fact that no new growth has started. She THEN asks if I got them done there. 😐 of course I explain. Because who would just show up to a random place...I didn't say but definitely thought to myself. 3, 2, 1.... I'm able to pick out my original color. We sit down. The unjust interrogation continues... who did your nails before. Me: I didn't catch her name but it was this 1st or 2nd seat right there as I'm pointing. Again I haven't been in there for years before that week but I recall my position in the store. She says, neither of those stations belong to anyone. "I don't know if they just sat there then, but THAT'S where she did my nails." 🤨 So anyway she's doing the 1 dip as asked, but I explain that the other nails are catching at the cuticle, and could she do a clear top coat. She says no, she won't do that. I ask why not. She says she's have to charge me for a polish change.... but it's not a change of any sort, and I asked for a top coat only. I didn't even blame the original tech too much because she was nice. But I did definitely want her mistake corrected. But to be interrogated as if I'M the one trying to scam when REALLY it's them! First shotty work, then taking me through the absolute ringer! I'll never, I mean never ever step foot back into that place. NEVER. Amy is exactly what's wrong with nail salons. CHOOSE WISELY.

Cindy did the best pedicure I have ever had in my LIFE. I am so particular when it comes to my self-care time because it can be so expensive. She took every single minute of the pedicure I paid for and made it worth every single penny. It’s not often that I’ll spend $70 on a pedicure but they took my appt last minute, and I’m so glad to have found this place and gotten her. The place was so quiet and very calm, she gained a loyal customer from me. I can’t wait to go back!

I have been going to IU now for several years. I have always been able to get an apt when I have needed one and have even been able to walk in on occasion and they fit me in quickly. Most of their techs are friendly and take their time, paying attention to detail. (Lee, Katy, and Tina are some of my favorite techs). Their prices are competitive. They prefer cash, but will take credit cards. The salon is clean, and very comfortable and their selection of colors is extensive.

I've never had my feet and hands done before. They were really great and the chairs are comfy. My feet feel great and my hands look better than they ever have. …
