Import Repair Center Inc

Import Repair Center Inc is an auto repair shop at 2540 N Lombard St in Portland, Oregon (97217). For drivers in North Portland looking for a local place to diagnose and repair a vehicle, customer feedback points to a hands-on shop where Brady and Carlos are frequently mentioned by name. Reviews describe help with a long-idle Land Cruiser, a 2004 Honda Element, and a Dodge Durango, reflecting experience with different vehicles and repair situations. The business has a 4.6-star rating from 97 reviews, offering prospective customers a useful snapshot of other drivers’ reported experiences while recognizing that each repair and visit is different.

A standout story from a customer concerns a Land Cruiser that had been sitting for nearly three years. The reviewer says Brady and Carlos got it running reliably again and describes the mechanics as capable, the service as fast, and the pricing as fair. Another customer brought in a used 2004 Honda Element for a full check before buying it, then returned to address check-engine issues. They report being satisfied with the purchase and service experience and say the car made a drive to Los Angeles without problems. These accounts suggest that the shop may be a helpful option for customers who want a vehicle inspected or need repair work after a warning light appears, though customers should contact the shop to confirm whether it can handle a particular vehicle or concern.

Communication and practical value also come through in customer comments. One reviewer says the team repaired a family car in about four days, communicated well, and offered good prices, despite the vehicle needing to be towed there twice. Another customer praises work on a Durango and says they plan to return for future auto repairs. Taken together, the reviews present Import Repair Center Inc as a neighborhood choice for drivers seeking direct service and repairs for everyday vehicles, as well as help getting an older or long-unused car back on the road. As with any repair shop, it is sensible to describe the symptoms, ask what diagnostic steps are appropriate, and request an estimate and expected timeline before approving work.

The shop is listed as open Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Its North Lombard Street location makes it a local option for people in Portland who prefer to discuss a vehicle issue with a neighborhood repair business. Calling ahead is a practical way to verify current hours, confirm availability, and ask whether the team can take on the specific repair or inspection needed. Whether arranging a pre-purchase check, seeking help with a check-engine concern, or addressing a vehicle that will not run as expected, customers can use the reported experiences and the shop’s stated schedule to decide whether it fits their needs.
