Sign in to reviewBe Careful – Possible Expired Product I recently bought Lays chips from India Bazaar, and I noticed that the expiration date had been removed and replaced with a sticker on top. After consuming these chips, my friend experienced vomiting and stomach pain. Please be careful when purchasing products like this. Always check packaging thoroughly before buying. This is concerning and could be a serious health risk.
I am very disappointed with the staff and management. Even after paying for my items, I did not receive everything I purchased. The cashier, Saleema, was very careless during my transaction. I bought 5 lb onions, loose ginger, loose fresh carrots, Roma tomatoes, and a 4 lb bag of Plain India Bazaar Toor Dal. After scanning my items, she told me everything had been packed into two bags. I trusted her and took the two bags without checking because I believed all my items were there. When I got home, I realized the Toor Dal was missing. I paid $16.35 for all my groceries, and the Toor Dal alone cost $8.49. It is frustrating to pay for an item and not receive it. I called the store to confirm that I could come back and pick up the missing item, but nobody answered the phone. The customer service is poor, and the management seems disorganized. Customers should not have to chase down items they already paid for or struggle to get someone on the phone. This was a very disappointing experience. Staff should be more careful when handling customers’ purchases, and management should do a better job of responding when problems occur. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this store.
India Bazaar East Plano is always clean, organized, and well-stocked. All staff especially Ms. Saleema Amin is friendly, professional, and very helpful. She always informs about new promotions and deals on the items. Thanks to Manager Jinal Patel and the entire team for providing excellent customer service.
Poor quality coconuts. Many are swollen and spoiled inside with mold, especially during festivals. This has happened multiple times. Not recommended to buy.
India Bazaar Plano is the closest large Indian store to our home. We like the vast collection of products they keep, and we almost never come back without a full grocery list worth of items because they are always stocked up. However, the fresh produce is mostly not fresh (and I doubt they are grade A so we only shop ethnic produce here), and many products are close to their expiration dates. We also feel awry of their Grain Market / India Bazaar branded products as they don't have expiration dates or nutrition info on them. The staff is friendly and helpful though. I recommend looking at the expiration dates on products when you shop here
