Indocine was exceptional in every way. We were seated quickly. Drink orders taken within minutes. We even asked if they could make their salted Carmel cream coffee with coconut milk and cream and they said they never have, but would try. They brought out a small sample and it was delicious, so they made a big one. It was stupid good. Eveything on the menu is well designated for vegan, gluten-free options and the waitress was very knowledgeable. She double checked everything to make sure it fit our dietary needs. The crispy tofu appetizer with peanut and sweet chili sauce was really crispy and good. Our main entrees of tofu and broccoli and mango fried rice with tofu were plentiful and delicious. Our waitress, Haley, was such a delight. She asked where we wanted to be seated in the restaurant and even asked if we wanted our photo taken, which she took on our phone. Harey was attentive throughout the meal even though she was the only waitress in our area. She even took time to tell us about the restaurant, it's amenities, the owner, and the history. It was an exception experience and meal.
We walked from the Marriott hotel & it was only about a 5 minute walk through the University of Washington-Tacoma. It’s a very nice & quiet area. The food was mostly good. We ordered vegan dishes & regular dishes. I only didn’t really like the Crab Wonton (too fishy & soft), the coconut prawns were really good, the shrimp fried rice was just okay, needed a little more flavor, the wonton soup was good & the Buddha tofu plate was good. The ambiance & music were the best part. I loved the water fountain & decor
Came here right after a long walk at Chambers Creek — and this place delivered exactly what we needed. Food: Jungle curry — rich, comforting, and flavorful without being overly spicy. Great balance with rice. Sesame chicken wrap — crispy + saucy, with a nice crunch from the nuts. Really satisfying. Ambience: The indoor setup is beautiful — warm wood, bamboo-style design, and a calming water fountain that gives the whole place a relaxed, almost retreat-like vibe. Loved the small detail of fresh flowers at the table — thought they were artificial at first, but they’re real. Shows attention to detail. Overall: Portions felt fair for the ~$17–$18 range, service was smooth, and there’s even a full bar. Also has outdoor seating for good weather days. Verdict: Great spot after a hike or if you want a relaxed, aesthetic meal without overspending. Would definitely come back.
We had a great dinner here last night! The food was excellent we tried the Drunken Noodles, Chicken Curry, Lettuce Wraps, Spring Rolls, and Rice all fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The draft beers were a great deal, and I’ll definitely be back for happy hour with $6 microbrews. It was surprising to see the restaurant so quiet, maybe because of Halloween, the weather, or just the time we ate. I hope it’s not a sign of a trend local restaurants like this really deserve our support. Delicious food, friendly service, and great value. Highly recommend!
Brought my family here for Mother’s Day to treat my mom. I’m not sure if they got new ownership but from the moment we sat down no water till we asked. The service was slow in the beginning. Didn’t refill our waters. I asked for Thai tea didn’t even get that. Waiter forgot. Didn’t really ask if we need anything. There was no good service especially on a day like Mother’s Day. The owner didn’t speak English apparently so a mananger was who I expressed the bad experience with. We ordered the firecracker rolls. Very good and fresh. Pad Thai was horrible omg I poured so much lime in it like 2 cups full but no flavor. We had also got the orange chicken it was ok. Like 3/10. We all as a family didn’t enjoy. Was disappointed because the inside is pretty and nice. They need to work on service and idk the menu maybe. At the end I went to the manager to tell her. They didn’t take nothing off receipt but 10% ? lol. I didn’t have an issue with paying. Didn’t ask for anything off the bill in fact but just expected better service. You can’t have a nice restaurant with bad service.
