Izba Spa

Izba Spa is a spa in Denver, Colorado, at 1441 York St, Denver, CO 80206. Customer reviews describe a visit that goes beyond a standard massage, with a rustic, distinctive setting and wellness experiences inspired by Russian bathing traditions. The atmosphere is often noted as authentic and calming, with beautiful sounds and a sense of energy that helps guests settle in. Izba Spa may suit Denver residents and visitors looking for a restorative outing, a memorable massage, or a spa experience that feels different from a conventional treatment room.

Massage is a central part of the experience, and reviewers mention personalized sessions, deep-tissue work, and focused attention to tight muscles and trigger points. One guest appreciated a massage after time in the hot tub, noting the therapist’s ability to understand the right pressure and use distinctive techniques. Another praised a therapist for knowledgeable, therapeutic work. Guests who prefer firm pressure can make that preference clear when booking or speaking with their therapist; one review specifically highlights a notably firm massage. As with any hands-on treatment, communicating comfort, pressure, and needs helps make the session more personal.

Reviews also describe a sequence of bathing and wellness features, including a hot tub, salt room, and peppermint sauna. Some guests recount unusual traditional-style touches such as honey, wet tree branches, and a bucket of cold water. These details come from customer accounts, and the exact experience may vary, so guests can check directly with Izba Spa about current offerings and what a visit includes. Tea appears in more than one review, and one guest mentions tea and fruit afterward, adding a gentle pause after the heat and treatments. Together, these elements make the spa a good option for people curious about a full-body ritual as well as those primarily seeking massage.

Izba Spa is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday, according to the listed hours. Its 4.8 rating from 90 reviews reflects many positive customer experiences, including praise for relaxation, skilled massage, and the spa’s distinctive character.
