Jia Ho Supermarket is an Asian grocery store at 692 Washington St in Boston, MA, serving shoppers in Chinatown and the surrounding downtown area. It is a compact, traditional neighborhood market with aisles stocked with snacks, canned and bottled goods, alongside fresh produce and fish. For anyone looking to browse Asian groceries without leaving central Boston, the store offers a practical place to pick up familiar staples or discover something new. Its size and packed shelves give it an old-school supermarket feel rather than the layout of a large, modern grocery chain.

Shoppers describe a broad selection of Chinese and other Asian specialties, including snacks and candies that can be fun to explore with family or friends. The assortment mentioned by customers includes firm and soft tofu, Lao Gan Ma spicy chili crisp, waxberry juice, and soda. These examples offer a sense of the mix: everyday grocery items sit alongside drinks, pantry goods, and treats that may be harder to find at a conventional supermarket. Selection can vary, so the best way to see what is available is to visit and browse the aisles.

The fresh fish and produce section makes Jia Ho useful for more than snack shopping. Customers have called the produce fresh and affordable, and note that the store is regularly stocked and organized. Whether you are shopping for ingredients, looking for a particular Asian pantry item, or simply curious to try an unfamiliar candy or beverage, the compact shop brings many categories together in one downtown location. It can suit local residents, people who work nearby, and visitors exploring Boston Chinatown who want to shop for groceries along the way.

Jia Ho Supermarket is open daily, Monday through Sunday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., making it convenient to stop in across the week. A little supermarket in Chinatown Boston, it's small but packed with aisles of snacks, canned and bottled goods, a fresh fish and produce section, and two entries with cashiers. Standard feel of an old-school grocery. I've been to better, newer grocery stores, but for downtown, this isn't bad but was missing some of my favorite fish and tofu snacks.

I’ve been here many times and usually have a good experience, but this time the older lady with glasses who was working as the cashier made me feel really uncomfortable. She seemed very impatient when I paid with cash and coins, almost like cash payments weren’t welcome. Her attitude came across as noticeably unfriendly, and the whole interaction rubbed me the wrong way. Or maybe the older lady with glasses who was working as the cashier was just having a bad day🥲🙃🙂‍↕️

This supermarket is awesome to explore. We love trying new candies and snacks, and this is definitely the place for that. The produce is fresh and cheap, the store is always being stocked and organized, and the variety of stuff is awesome to see.

I loved coming here. They have good prices and good selections of everything. My mother even saw a snack that she hasn't had in 30 years! I got firm and soft tofu, waxberry juice and soda, Lao Gan Ma spicy chili crisp, and much more. What's great is that this store is open later than most other Chinese grocery stores around. Most grocery stores in Chinatown close at 7pm but this is the only one that is open until 8pm.
