Really happy with my experience here. I’m not a car person at all and had a lot of questions when I called. They took the time to explain everything to me and gave me a rough estimate over the phone before even seeing my car. I called around, and theirs was the lowest estimate. What they estimated ended up being pretty much exactly what I paid, which I really appreciated. I had my car towed in to have the axle fixed, and they fixed exactly what I needed without trying to add anything unnecessary. They also said they would call me before making any additional repairs if they found anything else wrong. As a single mom on a tight budget, I was really worried about how much this was going to cost, but they got it done within a few hours the same day and everything worked out perfect. They even test drove it and sent me a video showing everything was good. So far, everything is running great. They were straightforward, affordable, and treated me really well. I’ll definitely go back if I need anything done in the future.

I’m a new car owner and have very little knowledge about cars so I’m low hanging fruit for getting scammed by a mechanic. K&H gives you a transparent itemized estimate before operating and really spells everything out for you. They also fixed the issue the same day. Definitely trust this place and highly recommend.

I was in Portland for the weekend from Seattle. During my drive home on a Sunday, I noticed my check engine light was blinking. There wasn't many shops open since it was a Sunday, and I called around to 4 other shops and they mentioned they won't be able to service the vehicle until the next day. I then got in touch with Ali at K&H, he mentioned he will be able to fix the vehicle but he had a few other cars ahead of me in queue. I decided to go to K&H Auto Shop after the call, and Ali greeted my wife and I so kindly. He took a look under the hood immediately when we got there, and mentioned he could fix it in a few hours. We walked to a nearby coffee shop per Ali's recommendation and hung out there for the next hour. We then received a call from Ali saying he fixed the car. The bill was a much cheaper price compared to what we've seen online, and would love to use Ali as our go to mechanic if we lived in Portland. We drove off to Seattle after we left K&H and the vehicle ran extremely smooth.

I have reviewed K&H before but my recent experience with them warrants another review. I took my car in for what I thought would be a simple brake service but ended up being much more complicated. Ali was great at communicating with me throughout the process and giving me options that fit my budget. I appreciate his commitment to making sure the issue was solved, and he wouldn’t even take my credit card until I had taken my car for a test drive because he wanted to make sure I was 100% satisfied. As a bonus, they also popped out the massive dent in my rear bumper and didn’t charge me for it. I will continue to take my car to K&H because they are thorough, honest, and take great pride in their work.

Work was done properly. Took 11 hours to get my car back from a simple brake pad replacement on front brakes. Dropped my car off at 9am and I wasn’t given any type of estimated time of completion for the work. Showed up around 4:30pm …
