Really enjoyed Kai Asian Street Fare! We started with the wontons and cucumber salad, and both were very tasty. I had the crispy beef, which was delicious and came with a surprisingly generous serving. The family tried the Thai drunken noodles with chicken, orange chicken, and pork katsu. If we had to rank them, we'd put them in that order, but honestly, all three were good. I also tried the Hitachino red rice beer, which was a great choice and paired really well with the food. Great variety, generous portions, and everything we ordered was a hit. We'll definitely be back!

I would like to preface this review with a statement: I absolutely love and adore this restaurant, It is my favorite place to eat of all time and I write this review not out of malice but only because I know the quality this restaurant is capable of. The staff and the environment are absolutely exceptional and make my time at this joint always just exceptional because the overall experience is just perfection, the perfect small slice of heaven vibe. However recently, changes have been made to the menu that is slowly changing the experience for me. I am more than willing to change my review back to five stars in the future, but as it stands I stay by my opinion posted here in this review. My partner and I have been coming to this restaurant as frequent regulars for over half a year at this point on an almost bi-weekly basis, Constantly coming in and eating food and chatting with the staff and becoming well known faces. We love the vibe, The appetizers, the entrees- you name it we've tried it! My go-to order was water with two slices of lemon alongside the Clay pot Japanese curry with Karaage (Japanese fried chicken), much so to the point that our regular waiter that we see often knows my order by heart. The first time I ever tried this dish it was almost a life-changing experience, It was so flavor-rich and delicious and such an amazing breath of fresh air and breathed so much life into me every time I had it. About a month and a half ago the owners of the company as a whole have decided to make a change to the Japanese Curry, removing two of the main components of the dish being the clay pot as well as the cheese. Originally I wasn't too fond of the change but the quality of the curry was still so exceptional that it was my favorite dish even after the tweaks, although I would have preferred it in its original form. As of my most recent visit though, they have made another change to the Japanese curry which is just the final nail in the coffin for me. Originally the curry was served with a plethora of vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, onions and scallions- whole nine yards! The most recent rendition of the plate has seen it downsized to a bento box. Now you no longer receive the carrots, potatoes, or any other vegetables other than onions and scallions. With every single passing rendition of the Japanese Curry they seem to be taking more away rather than adding to the experience and when I ordered it this time, I genuinely was disappointed at how bland in comparison it wasto how it was in the past. I can't see myself ordering the curry anymore, and it's such a shame too considering how much I loved it. Please, I am begging the owners of this establishment to bring back the option to at least have the Japanese curry the way it used to be, even if it's at a premium. Sincerely, ~A Kia Lover
