Sign in to reviewDate: 05.22.2026 We went to have some brunch. We ordered: - Beef paya ($7.99) - Regular Beef (Medium - $9.99) - One breakfast combo (Chicken + Aloo Bhaji + one Porata - $9.99) (Chicken/Beef + Any bhaji made on that day) - Poratas (one is more than enough for one person. You can't finish the entire one unless you are super hungry) Taste: All items were delicious. Regular beef tasted better than the beef paya. Prices seemed reasonable for the amount. Spice level was perfect. Service: Good. The lady who was taking the order is very sweet and cordial. ** They have their own parking space where you can park your car.
After nearly a week of traveling around the US without any Bengali food, finding Kasturi in Little Bangladesh honestly felt like a lifesaver. If you’re craving authentic South Asian food—whether Bengali, Indian, or Pakistani—this completely Halal spot is definitely worth a visit. I ordered the beef khichuri with a bowl of dal and some alu bhorta, and it genuinely tasted like a home-cooked meal. The alu bhorta especially brought back memories of food from home (I’ve attached a photo because it was that good!). What surprised us most, though, were some of the traditional dishes. We happened to visit on a day when they had jhuri ghost and beef paya available. From what we were told, they’re not always on the regular menu, so we got pretty lucky. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and ended up being highlights of the meal. The food is flavorful, authentic, and doesn’t shy away from the spices that make South Asian cooking so special. If you’re in downtown LA and missing the taste of home—or just want to try genuinely authentic Bengali food—Kasturi is a place I’d happily recommend.
Kasturi Restaurant is definitely a spot I’d come back to. I dined in and tried the chicken curry, beef curry, and aloo bhaji, and everything was full of flavor and cooked really well. The dishes tasted fresh and authentic, especially the curries. The service stood out too—the owner himself helped us and was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The place was also nice and clean, making it comfortable to sit and enjoy the meal. Overall, great food, great service, and a clean environment. Highly recommend checking Kasturi Restaurant out if you’re in the area!
Fantastic Bangladeshi flavors! Delicious food, warm hospitality, and authentic dishes that truly hit the spot. Don’t miss the Breakfast combo with cha. Also, they have the best “Doi Fuchka”. A must-visit for anyone craving real Bangladeshi taste in LA!
The restaurant side has hot, authentic Bangladeshi food. They loaded up my plate of biryani and great prices for everything, will come back when I need that comforting reminder of home 🙏
