Unprofessional, Disrespectful, and Poorly Managed Practice —— My elderly family member drove nearly an hour through Houston traffic for a scheduled appointment, only to be turned away because Dr. Nguyen was reportedly “too tired after his vacation.” No prior notification, no apology from the doctor or staff, no effort to reschedule or offer an alternative provider—nothing. To make matters worse, the front desk staff showed zero concern or empathy. They handled the situation dismissively, as if wasting a patient’s time and effort was no big deal. This clinic clearly lacks any proper coordination or oversight for appointments; there’s no dedicated coordinator to manage scheduling, prevent these issues, or ensure patients are treated with basic respect. Reliability and patient care should be priorities in any medical practice, especially for vulnerable elderly patients. This experience was frustrating, inconsiderate, and outright disrespectful. I strongly advise seeking a more professional and organized physician elsewhere.

I’ve lived in Houston for just over two years and have been seeing Dr. Khoa Nguyen for almost a year. He’s an excellent doctor — very knowledgeable, thorough, and caring. As a former anesthesiologist from Vietnam, I can truly recognize his strong medical skills. Houston Family Physicians, is actually the best clinic that I have been to. My Physician, Dr. Nguyen is the best physician that I have ever had in my life. On your visits, the staff is very kind and courteous. Any medical issue that you may have is actually treated expeditiously. You feel more like your visiting with extended family and not just a doctor's visit. Joy, my allergist, is also one of the best allergist that I have ever been to. I have always been afraid of needles, but I actually look forward to getting my weekly shot, because of her skills you really don't even feel it. I would advice any and everyone, if you are looking for a Great clinic to go to, this would be the one!

Houston Family Physicians collected for a specialist from me and billed insurance as a primary care physician. Also, they falsely billed insurance when I called in to their office trying to get them to call in my prescription in the first place like they said they would do. Then billed insurance under this doctor's name saying it was "medication consultations." DO NOT go to this doctor or this practice. They are dishonest.

Very unprofessional went for a pap smear and some blood work on September 26.. and had to go back 3 days later because my blood work were clotted after that never received a call from them I would call and they never answer, send txt msge no reply! Had to walk in on October 31st way more than a month later and they only gave me my blood work results!! My pap smear results weren't even on their system they promised a call for that same day and they never called!! Today November 24th and still haven't received my results.. I DO NOT!!! recommend these place at all
