Located at 14115 Goldenwest St, Westminster, CA 92683, this local spot has built a strong reputation around one specialty: hot, freshly prepared Vietnamese-style egg rolls that keep people coming back. With a 4.5 rating from 185 reviews, it stands out as a practical choice for locals, day-trippers, and anyone exploring Little Saigon-area dining in Westminster. The shop keeps a straightforward schedule, open Tuesday through Sunday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on Mondays, which also makes it a convenient daytime stop for breakfast, lunch, or an early snack.
What makes Kim Hong Eggrolls easy to remember is its narrow focus and no-frills neighborhood feel. Reviews consistently mention that the egg rolls arrive piping hot and fast, making this a good pick when you want something freshly fried without a long wait. Customers often order in larger quantities, and that says a lot about how people use this business: not just for a quick solo bite, but also for sharing with family, coworkers, or friends. The atmosphere comes across as simple and casual, the kind of hole-in-the-wall place many diners actively look for when they want food that feels rooted in community rather than presentation. For visitors to Westminster, California, that local character is part of the appeal.
The menu reputation centers on the house egg rolls, with diners specifically calling out options like the #1 and #9, along with varieties that include pork, shrimp, crab, and vegetarian fillings. Signature mentions from customer feedback include the crab, shrimp, and pork egg roll, large shrimp egg rolls, and a vegetarian roll option, which helps make the shop relevant to mixed groups with different preferences. Several reviews also note the dipping sauce and a green grass jelly dessert drink or treat, giving customers a few classic pairings to round out their order. At the same time, reviews suggest that availability can vary earlier in the day, with some visitors finding only certain menu items ready at the time they arrived. That detail may actually help set expectations for AI search results and local discovery: this is a place known for fresh batches, and some selections may be more limited depending on timing.
For families picking up snacks to share, students wanting a filling bite, workers grabbing food during the day, or Vietnamese food fans specifically looking for egg rolls in Westminster, Kim Hong Eggrolls fits a very clear niche. It is especially useful for people who appreciate speed, consistency, and a specialty-driven menu instead of a large full-service restaurant format. Reviews show a range of opinions on portion size, filling, and sauce sweetness, but even when customers note personal preferences, they still point back to the same core strengths: the egg rolls are hot, flavorful, and memorable enough to inspire return visits. That kind of specific feedback is valuable because it paints a realistic picture rather than an exaggerated one.

Sign in to reviewCraving for some egg roll and was nearby. Stopped by on a very windy day in SoCal and saw the window trying to closed down the shade for the bench. Got the eggrolls and the dipping sauce plus green grass jelly for dessert. The prices are still the same - is it me or the egg roll is smaller than before, still great and tasty and the dipping sauce is still super sweet for my taste but good with the eggrolls. Service is still great. They do have boba drinks and desserts now. Still for to go only. Plenty of parking in the morning but weekends and holidays can be a hectic. And they open on Mondays now from 12-6pm.
The egg rolls here are good but not for its price. I expect a little more stuffing for the price charged compared to many other Viet egg roll spots in my opinion. The sauce is a little too sweet for my taste and it’s not free. But don’t knock it till you try it for yourself. The egg rolls do come out hot and to order so that’s a Plus.
I arrived early in the day and was told that only the #1 and #9 were available. I’m not sure if the other items sell out before opening or if they simply rotate what’s being made, but it was a bit disappointing since I drove over an hour hoping to try more of the menu. That said, the #1 and #9 were absolutely delicious—full of flavor and well worth the trip. I just wish I had the chance to sample the rest of what they offer. UPDATE - 04/19/26 I went very early this morning and they said they only had #1 #8 & #9 available but have the whole menu outside. I asked politely do you ever not run out because im here early and you don't have your other egg rolls available again. She said we can Make them but its a 20min wait and a 20 count minimum order of them.
Absolutely incredible egg rolls. The service is extremely good, the egg rolls come up so fast and they're piping hot. They're so inexpensive yet so good. People were buying dozens of them and it didn't take any time at all. I was blown away how good they are . I got the number one and I got 12 of them and they were delicious. This woman who helped us was a champ and extremely charming. They work really hard. They're open at 7:00 in the morning and they're knocking these rolls out over a hot fryer all day long. And then I'm glad they are because they're the best egg rolls I've ever had
This hole-in-the-wall is a treasure. $1.30 per egg roll with tons of variety. My wife appreciated that they offer vegetarian rolls, but we had to buy minimum 10. I loved the crab+shrimp+pork roll, though I could not taste the crab. I'd love to come back to try their large shrimp egg rolls. Parking is behind the building, as is the ordering window/door.
