The original owners, an elderly couple, used to run the store. They were always very professional and offered fair pricing based on the daily gold market. I'm 40 now, but I began visiting this jewelry store when I was 19 when a friend recommended the store to me and back when gold was around $150 per baht. Whenever I was in town for work or pleasure, I would stop by without fail. I typically traveled to Seattle once or twice a year and purchased one or two pieces worth several thousand dollars each time. Remarkably, the owners remembered me on every visit and never dismissed or disrespected me because of my age or even when I didn’t make a purchase. I continued returning year after year because their prices were fair and the quality of every piece was excellent. About five years ago, the elderly couple handed the business over to a relative—likely their daughter-in-law—who now runs the store with her husband. During one visit, there were only about three customers in the store, all of whom were browsing. Despite this, I was repeatedly ignored. I waited for nearly an hour and was passed over multiple times, even though I was there to purchase a gold bracelet for my niece, which would have cost around $2,000 based on that day’s gold price. After about 90 minutes, I was preparing to leave when the original owners walked in. The elderly lady recognized me immediately, greeted me warmly, and helped me right away. We discussed what I was looking for and agreed on a price. Because I was a longtime customer, she kindly waived the $700 custom design fee. She spoke in Vietnamese, and her daughter-in-law—who had ignored me earlier—came over only to process the payment and package the item. It was clear that the mother-in-law was unhappy with how I had been treated. I left satisfied with my purchase, but the poor service from the daughter-in-law and her husband was a major disappointment and made me hesitant to return. I understand that jewelry stores face security concerns, but they need to adapt—whether by hiring security or improving customer service practices. Customers often travel long distances, and being ignored or forced to make appointments is a significant turnoff. If they want to remain successful, they must adapt, change, and build stronger relationships with their clients.

I brought in my engagement ring for resizing (up) and they were so helpful! They answered all my questions with patience and professionalism; they let me try the ring through the process to make sure it was a perfect fit. Done in less than 30 minutes! I had so much peace of mind getting it done in-house.
