Sign in to reviewAbsolutely fantastic takeout experience! Kim Phung delivered incredible flavor, generous portions, and authentic dishes that absolutely hit the spot. Even as takeout, everything held up beautifully and tasted fresh, hot, and made with care. I had the General Tso’s chicken, crab rangoon, and a Thai tea, and every item was excellent. The General Tso’s was perfectly crispy with bold flavor and that ideal balance of sweet heat, the crab rangoon was golden, crispy, and packed with creamy delicious filling, and the Thai tea was smooth, refreshing, and the perfect finishing touch. The food quality, service, and overall experience were top notch. It’s not always easy finding takeout that still feels restaurant quality once you get it home, but Kim Phung absolutely nailed it. If you’re looking for flavorful, satisfying Asian cuisine in the area, this is definitely a spot worth returning to. Highly recommend!
So good!!! Worth a try. $10 lunch specials. $9 pho from 6-9pm on Wednesdays.
Found a bee in my yellow chicken curry. We were too grossed out to eat the rest of our order . Our first time trying and we are sad it left this impression because we live next door.
I asked the cashier if I could order a combo that had fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and shrimp and she said yes, and I asked her if that was a lot of food for one person and she said no, that it was enough for one person, I proceeded to pay and I see that it was $27 and it seemed expensive to me and I also left a tip and when I realize that they are bringing me the order they bring me two plates of food, both with rice and their side. I think it is disrespectful that you bring me two plates of food when I asked you for a combo that had everything, I feel that you took advantage of the situation to sell more because two plates of food for one person with the same side is that you do not know how to sell or you are taking advantage. Unpleasant experience, I do not recommend it I will never return to this restaurant.
The one star reviews are true. TLDR: very pushy server, dirty mildew taste/smell in soups, mid food, bad customer service. I ordered the $10 lunch special. The server repeatedly insisted I order an appetizer as well. After several “no thank you”s I finally just ordered egg drop soup. It came out, and tasted/smelled like mildew and half washed dishes… I was going to quietly take the loss, but the server asked me directly why I hadn’t eaten the soup. When I said it tasted “off” he offered to substitute it for another soup. I said no thank you. He insisted, and I agreed to wonton soup. It came out, and again, it tasted wrong. The entree came out, the meat was bland and the veggies were bitter. When the server asked why I hadn’t eaten the second soup, I explained there’s something wrong with the soups and it’s not good. He offered another soup?? I said no thank you, and that I would like it removed from my bill. He says “we already made it”. Again, at the register I say I don’t want to pay for the soup, explaining it tasted like dirty dishes and I couldn’t even eat it… and he basically just says “I don’t know” and shrugs his shoulders. I explained again… he offered another soup! I seriously considered asking to speak to someone else, but deeply I just want to leave because i felt nauseous from whatever bites I’d just eaten. I spent $18 on part of mid entree and a gross soup that made me feel sick and a frustrating experience with an insistent and dismissive server. Don’t recommend. I will not only not be returning, I will tell others to avoid this restaurant. The owner obviously does not care about this restaurant and will not care when it gets shut down for making people sick.
