Sign in to reviewVery vast buffet. The sushi was so fresh! The Mongolian section was fire. Really enjoyed the soup and salad. Fried rice was great. Desserts hit the spot. Price is very reasonable for everything you get. Can't really complain about anything besides I ate too much. The wait was about 20 minutes on a Sunday afternoon.
The Google Rating system in this area confuses me. Asian Buffet in McKinney has 4.4 rating. King Buffet in Plano has a 4.3 rating. BUT.....King Buffet is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better! It's not even close. Which makes me start to question the palates of the people in this area. I would say the service is slightly better at Asian Buffet than King Buffet but the hot food, sushi bar, steamed dumplings and other items, desserts, etc are SO MUCH better. It's not even comparable. Now, im not saying King Buffet is a top notch Chinese Buffet, because it's not, as I have had far better, but for this area, King Buffet truly is King for Chinese Buffets. For my Chinese buffet cravings, it is an extra 30 mins round trip drive, but Im coming to King Buffet. Service can definitely be better though and the Head Sushi Chef was a bit rude.
Came in with my kids. Place was busy. We had to wait 15 minutes to get table which was not bad based on amount of people waiting. Place was clean. They had a lot of variety of seafood. Service was good. Food was bland. It’s buffet food, don’t expect a good to be seasoned. Overall, it was ok. Price about $19 per person without drink.
Food was mediocre, they had all the basics and additional items. Service was poor, had to ask for refills on beverages. Desserts were good, their chocolate fountain was delicious. I found it surprisingly packed for it being a monday afternoon.
I had a really great experience at the China Buffet today. The food was fresh, tasty, and there was a wide variety of dishes to choose from, so everyone can find something they like. Everything was clean, well-organized, and quickly refilled. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the visit even better. Overall, it was a satisfying meal and I’d happily go back again. 😊
